As a technical trainer/consultant for Pageflex, a division of Bitstream Inc., you will join our professional services team. Your ability to deliver training and consulting services to domestic and international customers with a wide range of technical abilities will place you as the face of Pageflex with new and existing customers as well as our OEM partners and resellers.

In this position you will be responsible for delivering, developing, and maintaining training curricula and materials for our growing suite of print, Web-to-print, and cross media publishing products. You will work closely with Engineering, Pre-Sales, Support and Consulting Services to design and implement effective training programs for highly technical and business oriented end-users. In addition, you will conduct 2-4 day training sessions in our Marlborough, MA offices and at customer sites. These engagements will also involve varying levels of consulting on our API suite for custom development and integrations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years consulting and training delivery experience, specifically in client-side and web-based software applications
• Proficiency communicating a wide range of technical material around hardware and software configuration as well as end-user business applications
• Experience developing software training curricula, preferably in a print and/or web related position
• Demonstrable understanding of adult learning principles, training design, development, and delivery methodologies
• Knowledge of graphics arts and web publishing applications in typography, page layout, image management, HTML authoring, and various forms of print output involving PostScript and PDF workflows
• Competency in Microsoft Windows 2003 and 2008 Server, Windows 7 and XP operating systems, including networking, databases and client-server enterprise system issues
• Polished, professional and approachable classroom presence
• Ability to travel frequently, up to 50% during peak periods
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

• Previous experience implementing training programs through innovative delivery mechanisms
• Knowledge of variable data publishing technologies
• Knowledge of QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign
• Knowledge of VBScript and JavaScript
• Experience with web based technologies such as HTML, XML, Flash, and/or .NET
