Transparent labels on a digital press? Hopeless or not?

We've got some equipment and we'd like to put some corporate logo stickers onto them to make them easily identifiable as being our property.

Probably 2x2cm in size, and probably on some kind of hard-wearing transparent substrate.

I immediately thought I'll just contract it out to a sticker shop, but then I was wondering whether there are any substrates out there that can do this on a digital press? We have a Ricoh C5310.

We've used the DiversiPrint clear gloss polyester sheets made specifically for digital toner presses by Spinnaker, but it is ridiculously expensive at ~$4 USD per sheet. It's important to note, however, if you don't have white toner to create a base behind your image/text, the toner is translucent and the artwork won't show up very well if you place the sticker on a colored item. We have an OKI printer that has white toner. You may be better off ordering your labels from a trade shop. Alternatively, you could order some sheets of white circle labels if you're trying to get away from a square label.

Thanks! Very helpful.

No white toner here.
