Versant 280 buy-out lease vs new lease Xerox Primelink C9200, or Fuji SC180/SC285 or RICOH Pro C5400S

Competing salesman stopping buy to pitch new lease Fuji SC180/SC285 or RICOH Pro C5400S. I'm being told the Fuji SC180 is the equivalent to the Versant 280, is this correct?

We currently run the Versant 280 with very little issue and lease (from Xerox) is coming up soon. Debating to buyout the lease on the Versant vs leasing a new Xerox product Primelink C9200? Or, stepping away from Xerox to Fuji SC180 (or the same sales company sells Ricoh Pro C5400S).

Thoughts, and considerations would be appreciated. We're located in Ontario, Canada if that makes any difference to the equation.

Xerox has major financial struggles with huge bonds maturing on 2028. I'd switch to Fuji- same machine basically. I don't have experience with them, but some others in this forum have low opinions of the Ricoh C5000 series. You might quote a Ricoh C7500 and Fuji 2100 to see if you get better click charges to offset the cost a more capable machine.

Isn't the Primelink C9200 more of an office printer?

Re keeping V280 - who is going to service it and at what click cost when you buy out the lease? Fuji SC180 is basically the same machine, but do you want another 5 years with what is pretty old tech now (traceable back to Xerox DC242)?

We've just done a deal for a Proficio PX300 for pretty much the same TCO as our old V180.

If we were to buy out the lease we'd be looking at a metered supplies and service contract with Xerox. I thought that the Fuji SC180 was the successor to the Versant 280 but will have to now dive into this further. I will have to take a closer look at the Proficio PX300 as you mentioned, especially if the TCO is similiar to your V180.
