Xerox 700 and Cover Stock

Looking at purchasing either a Ricoh 720s or the Xerox 700. I know that the 720 will take almost anything you can feed it up to 300 GSM. How does the Xerox handle cover 12x18 like Carolina 12 and 14 pt c1s, 80# offset opaque etc.. What has any of your experiences been when it comes to running cover thru this machine. The one thing that has impressed me with Ricoh 720 is you can run thin magnetic sheets thru it and 10 pt plastic sheets. Can the Xerox handle it also. We are trying to finalize a purchase in the next few days and was just curious as to others experiences with the 2 machines. We are not a heavy volume, approx. 25-50m per month but hopefully that will continue to grow. Thanks for your responses.

be careful with paper weights. These digital machines are rated to print up to 300gsm. 12pts or 14pts are not measurements of weight, they measure thickness.

In the market, you can find 12pts paper that is actually 250gsm, 276gsm, 300gsm or 320gsm. Always check the gsm value of the paper you want to use.
