Well thought I'd get things started on the "new" DocuColor 8080.
The only changes over the 8002 seem to be the Low Gloss toner and the ACQS system (didn't the 8002 have something similar?)
The skeptic in me would say that due to the early issues with the 8002 they've just rebranded it. There's also the obvious need to compete cost-wise with the Konica C8000... I'd guess the Xerox ColorPress 800 was still somewhat more expensive.
There's a good write up on the 8080 here: InfoTrends InfoBlog » Xerox Announces the DocuColor 8080
So the revised Xerox Production line-up goes like this, I've taken an educated guess on the prices, other users input would be appreciated! :
700 (£30-40k)
8080 (£80-100k)
CP 800 (£100-140k)
CP 1000 (£140-180k)
iGen3 (£150-200k)
iGen4 (£300k?)
The two I'm most unsure on are the Igens, I know they do an iGen3 "Classic" which is at a lower price point of around £120k but this is really a refurb... do they still manufacture the iGen3?
