XMPie Issue

Hey all, New here.
Looking for answers. I have a client who is sending me PDF files for Assets.
working good for years. With XMPie 4.6.2 with Indesign CS4. But after a hard drive crash I no longer have the installer for XMPie 4.6.2. I can't find it on any of Xerox sites. When I use XMPie 5.3.1 XMPie in CS5.5 it hanging up (unable to process) It dose not fail or give an error just get hung up. We have determined the problem to be fonts. I cant narrow it down any more then that. The fonts are embedded in the pdf, current workaround is to convert to outlines with Acrobat and pitstop. this is a daily project and has become very time consuming.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you fix.
The guys a Xerox say nothing they can do its an issue with supplied Assets not software.
Hate to think whats going to happen when we install XMPie 6.6 in CC

I'm not an XMPie user but I have heard from users and former users that XMPie is very touchy as to needing correct module versions. Update or change one thing and you need to update others to make things work as before.

Sounds like Xerox support is just blowing you off. You might try the XMPie user groups or XMPie support directly.
