ALM 3222 error

I’m getting an error message on a ALM 3222 laminator:

ERROR

PAPER STUCK

CALL FOR SERVICE

There is no paper or laminate that I can see stuck in the machine. I’ve tried removing all laminate, powering off and on, powering off and unplugging then plugging back in and turning on, nothing gets rid of the message.

What can I do to solve this?

You have a short piece of laminate in the path.. Too small to be moved along. Possibly stuck to the cutter frame. This machine is fairly simple to open up and clear.
First take off the roller clamping lever. Then both side covers. You'll see the ends of the cutter module sticking out either side. there are 2 small screws each side holding it, remove them. disconnect the wire harness at the connector, you prolly need to cut the wire ties carefully. Now you can wiggle the cutter module out and see in the path any obstructions. While it's out, clean off any melted plastic residue. Clear obstructions and reverse the procedure. It's also possible there is a piece stopped near the exit. You may have to get under and fiddle with the loose deflector plates from underneath. Or flip it over on it's side, on a bench.
