So AI is not going to shut down and it's conscious. What do you guys think is ahead? It's already replacing chat/phone agents, guiding manufacturing, etc... Where do us humans fit into the future?

I've seen it more times than I can count. Never gave it a thought though. It was just movie fiction.

Anyway, HAL 9000 locks Dave out of the spaceship because he posed a threat. Foreshadowing?

As a Comp Sci major who wound up printing instead of programming, I can agree with your logic. So where are we headed? Or is that too gloomy a topic to delve into?

Given what I've witnessed over the past 10 years, I wouldn't worry too much about adversity over AI.

At least, not in this country (USA).

We seem to be doing an exceptional job of destroying each other without the help of AI.

@gordo your first 2 posts of the video show up just fine for me. I watched the video. Interesting that he believes the creators of AI, who themselves are significantly more complex, could not have been created by a greater Creator.
