UK Click Pricing

Hi Folks

I'm looking into a new toner machine, SRA3 and wondered if anyone could share any advice on clicks available at the moment?
I'm wondering if the new Inkjet push, with the massive capital outlay is having a downward push on Toner click pricing?
Or maybe inflation and all that cack is just driving them up.

Couple years back, I heard people were getting 2.4p (Full Colour SRA3 Click) in the UK

Does anyone have any read of the current situation?

Is anyone getting lower than 2.4p or have things gone the other way?

I have a Ricoh 5300, so a pretty 'old' bit of kit, my click isn't anywhere near to 2.4p, so i've got into faster turnaround markets and some niche areas, to help stay profitable.
The machine does a great job, but I'm looking around for something with inline colour monitoring and ability to handle stocks in the litho weight, i've seen some Konica's that'll handle 450gsm.

Hopefully you can share some advice and experience.

Thanks in advance

Tim

Nothing major at the mo on the 5300, 10K SRA3 per month
But, i'd be shooting for 50K - 100K SRA3 on something that was more stable.
(Not knocking my Ricoh, it does a brilliant job for the money)

Well I think you'll need to convince the sales rep of your estimated volumes to get better rates. I mean that's a huge jump from 10k to 50k+ just because a new machine comes in the door, they may not enterain it seriously.
It's also a big jump from a 5300 level machine to what you're describing to replace it with.

Narrow down your machine options, sounds like you'd be either c7500/c9500 or the KM C12010 / C14010
Your best bargaining time will be the end of the year so work out now what you'd like and push them hard in December to close the deal.

Thanks for the advice, it sounds like 2p or 2.4p isn't widely offered. Maybe for the folks doing hundreds and hundreds of 1000's of prints a month.

But thats a good idea to try around year end, that gives me a bit of time too.
Thanks again for the help.

in Canada we are pretty much at that price for a colour click on a 12 x 18 sheet. The big brands are all pretty much the same, we have shopped around Xerox, Canon, Konica and they are all inline, and if they are not they will budge to be in line in order to sell you a machine.
