Fiery RIP frequently disconnects from printer.

I'm running Fiery from Mac OS so there's no Defender getting in the way. The techs have tried reinstalling the RIP a couple times but it didn't help and just screws up our presets.

Fiery RIP frequently disconnects from printer.

I've had this issue ever since we got our Konica Minolta AccurioPress C3080 a couple years ago: Command Workstation often looses contact with the printer when the printer goes into sleep mode, which kinda makes sense. But every now and then the disconnect happens in the middle of running the job...

    Following Guidelines

Gordo, the article you reference is from May. They've more recently posted a review from JAMA of the latest science and case studies that show that masks do prevent the spread of COVID19. "CDC reviewed the latest science and affirms that cloth face coverings are a critical tool in the fight...

No one talking about corona virus yet? - Thoughts on slowing down

Coronavirus is not the flu! It is far deadlier than the flu. The mortality rate for coronavirus is around 3% to 4%. The flu’s rate is 0.1%. The flu virus typically sheds in the first two days after symptoms start, and this can last for up to a week. But a study in the Lancet this week, which...

    LiveCycle workaround for Mac?

One of our clients has asked us to make a change to an interactive PDF form that was created in LiveCycle Designer. Pitstop won't let me edit it and there is no version of LiveCycle for Mac. Is there any other way change the form on a Mac and still keep it interactive?

    Looking for a Imposition solution

I'm not sure if it can do everything you need, but if you are looking for a more economical solution than the big players you could look at InpO2 from Dynagram. It works as a plug in to Acrobat.

Command Workstation: Using a separate file for a common side

Yes. It worked just great with gregbatch's VDP step by step.

Command Workstation: Using a separate file for a common side

Wouldn't that create a file that's twice as big and take twice as long to RIP?

    Ridiculous Quotes

Press usually out wins digital on large quantities. If I read your specs right that would be 131,000 clicks on digital which would be a big part of the estimate. $56k still seems awfully high though.

Command Workstation: Using a separate file for a common side

I need to print 2400 unique sheets that all get the same common back side. Is there a way in Command Workstation to use a separate file for that back side so I don't have to have 2400 backs?

    Konica c3080 vs Ricoh 7200sl

We looked at both machines last year and found the quality and service in our area to be similarly excellent, but we were very impressed with Konica's IQ unit. Ultimately the decision came down to price and Konica was able to offer us a much better deal than Ricoh.
