When I started about 40 plus years ago in a color trade shop, we had 2- 3 version light booths for the scanner operators...both had the ability to toggle between office, 5K & 7.5 K , we used 5K as standard unless we had a customer that wanted "warm" lights...

DGC affect everything - all tints, images etc. They are usually created for specific print conditions/papers etc. So if you are trying to fix one image that way you will be throwing everything else off...

Is everything (images,tints, graphics etc.) printing heavy or just the one image in particular? If just the individual image, it should be adressed in PS
