    Xante Platemaker probs

That can come from dampness in ther surface of the plate prior to imaging. Try a plate from the middle of the box, or store your plates in a dryer area. We had to include a packge of desicant in each box for a cutomer we had who was having the same problem a few years ago.

    older files from 1996

Re: older files from 1996 We have had to deal with some of these, some even older and all of which were certainly made by older versions of who knows what software. We have had to reuse an older computer that had older versions of PageMaker, Quark, Freehand, etc, and open the old files in...

    About Ryobi 582H

Re: About Ryobi 582H It depends more upon what you call consistent high quality, and how skilled and patient your press operator is. What can I expect from copydot scans? Is there a better method?

Re: What can I expect from copydot scans? Is there a better method? Whether or not you use "Copy dot", you will still require a complete version of Photoshop to achieve some of the gaols you have set for your project, and when you have mastered that, your Epson scanner may then be up to the task.

    High Resolution for Print

Re: High Resolution for Print Not to confuse you farther, but you are just short of grasping the meaning of some of the terms you are using. The line screen ruling is a choice independent of scanner resolution or output device resolution. You can take a halftone that you scanned at 300 dpi, and...
