We have been using the Amco misters for a year now without RO. We have not had any problems with the nozzles clogging but we do get a white build up on anything around the unit. It can be cleaned with vinegar and water. I think ideally we would use purified water of some kind.

We tried a small tabletop model that was motor driven. I could only do 200 cards at a time and even then, not reliably. We returned it and got a Kustom Corners. It is quality built, easy to use and there is really nothing to break down. It does a better job on more cards quicker.

We are going to get some of the tabs from the same supplier we get our normal mail tabs from. They will hopefully run on our tabber. Our letterpress doesn't have foil capabilities. Not sure what would be required. Might look into it if this becomes a more normal request.

We use a packing gauge to ensure we are packed to a .004 squeeze to the plate (manufacturer recommendations). I may over pack by .0015 but no more. And we are printing just above our breakaway point. I dont think shocking the paper is the issue. The black prints the widest and the other colors...

I agree 100%. Unfortunately some jobs require we cut a 28*40 sheet to 20*28. We try to avoid this but it is not always possible. We have moved a swamp cooler into the press room to test out this theory. I don't know if it will be enough to bring the humidity up to a good level. I will report...
