RICOH C7100x or XEROX Versant 80 - few questions

We have had our Ricoh for 8 months. After initial bedding in issues it has been great. Better quality and speed than our old Xerox 700 but that was to be expected in a newer machine. We use the spot gloss on certain jobs white not at all yet. Long sheet is a great feature and we have improved...

    Ricoh 7110 problems

Trouble is with banner tray the tail edge of the paper or board is still in the feed tray when the front end hits the registration part so the tail end is skewed as it comes through. Only way they can fix this is by fitting a bridge unit making sure the tail is clear of the feeder unit before...

    Ricoh 7110 problems

We are 3 months in with ours and it's been fantastic. 130k on the clock My operator cannot get over how good the registration is on this. We only have a problem with the banner tray registration which is a known fault apparently..? Certainly an upgrade on our old Xerox 700.

    Ricoh 7110 tested

Hi Digital printfan you are correct there is no comparison between the 2 machines as tech has advanced in ten years. However to compare to the 1000i in the UK is not comparable as the Ricoh machine is half the price, and comparable in terms of output.

    Ricoh 7110x further adventures

We are 2 weeks in from our install and I have got to say it is a beast. We have had approx. 6 jams in two weeks and it runs all day long perfect. We came from a Xerox 700 so to have prints come out straight and in fit is something of a novelty... We did have a patch update which cured the last...

    Ricoh 7110 white problem

You have to put the white down first followed by the colour after on a separate run. Registration in our experience has been good enough on this.

    Toner "chipping" on edges

Back of blade cuts will help. Also check with your blade people it's my understanding that digital/litho blades are ground at different angles. I think there will always be some chipping with toner machines lamination is the only answer. Hope this helps
