    Veris without a control strip

What I would like to do is remove the Control Strip for large images that will fit on 2 tiled Veris sheets - if there is no Control Strip. Otherwise, it takes 4 sheets. I've turned the Control Strip off at the Veris. I've turned off calibration in the Prinergy process. It still fails because...

    Flipbook Software

No. The client didn't show an example. We supplied the book in 3 resolutions. They were not happy with any. The medium res was the one I thought they would choose - 52 pages - 10MB. Runs well when on my computer. I thought the slowness may be related to their web server. We're not hosting...

    Flipbook Software

Thought I would add that I've tried the Export from InDesign CS4 and it doesn't offer all the bells and whistles our customers are wanting. Maybe this will be incentive to learn Flash?

    Flipbook Software

We're a commercial printer looking at creating Web Flip Books for our customers. I've tried a free program, but our first customer is saying the book is too slow. I reduced resolution and even the lowest res is too slow for them. Would commercial software create a faster flipping flip book...

    Embedded ICC profiles

Thank you. This will help when I have an opportunity to talk with our customers. Being a commercial printer, our files often show up at the door with no conversation with the designer. How are you handling PDFs with mystery profiles attached?

    Embedded ICC profiles

We have Prinergy set to ignore all embedded profiles. My test was outputting the same page from InDesign with different profiles embedded. I was expecting the two pages to be identical in color. But, they aren't. The embedded profiles seem to be overriding Prinergy. What am I missing? Thank...

    Prinergy & InSite Job Notes

We use the Job Notes to communicate internally. Is there a way to keep our Internal notes from showing up on InSite? Or, turning them off completely on InSite? Thank you, Linda Nivin

    Cmyk > word rgb > cmyk ?

Why does our RIP (Prinergy) sometimes fail if an image is Indexed? When converted to CMYK it will then process.

    PDF Output Preview

I'm trying to get a good grasp of Color Management and you have been a great help!

    PDF Output Preview

Now that I've worked my way through this, I have more questions . . . In Acrobat, when I choose Output Preview and select a different profile, the color does change - just not to the specifications of the profile. Then, when I go under Convert Colors, the color then looks correct. This...

    PDF Output Preview

I created an ICC profile from an IT8.7 printed on our Integris proofer. At the moment, this is what I'm trying to match. When I open a PDF (Acrobat 8) and go to Advanced --> Print Production --> Output Preview and select the new ICC profile, it doesn't honor it. The color doesn't change. If I...

    Output Preview Color Management

Thank you. That works. I had to turn off "Preserve CMYK numbers". Greatly appreciated!

    Output Preview Color Management

The final result in for the Output Preview on a monitor. I'm wanting to edit our Integris Proofer Profile, so I'm selecting it as the Destination. I'm not sure what to select as the Source, so I'm using our Press Profile. I've tried it the other way also, with Source being the Integris, and...

    Output Preview Color Management

Would this "green" profile work just as easily if it is provided to the customer and they select it in Acrobat --> Ouput Preview? This is close to what I am trying to achieve, but not quite as dramatically. :-)

    Output Preview Color Management

I'm wondering where I'm going wrong. I trying to create an Output Profile for viewing onscreen proofs. I ran an IT8 chart on our Integris proofer. That is what I'm trying to match (at the moment). The onscreen profile has much less magenta and yellow and too much cyan in the shadow end - so I...
