Thanks for all your input. I think I get to go to the Color Management Conference in Phoenix this year. I may wait till after that so I can make a more educated purchase. I was leaning more toward a Techkon than an X-Rite. Any thoughts on that?

Gans Ink has a glow int the dark ink. It is pricey. They will recommend a double or triple hit of it. Our customer backed out after seeing the price, so I have not printed with it. but the samples I saw were pretty cool. Gansink.com

Are they always there from start up? Or do they show up though the run? If they are there from the start put your lupe on them. Do they look like image? If so, Its your plates. We get them some times from a dirty processor. If they show up later in the run it could be paper junk sticking to the...

On our Heidelbergs we have run Saphira ( Heidelberg's house brand) and Pacesetters. The Pacesetters are more affordable and have run great for us. Here is a link Pacesetter Support

We use 300-400 sheets for four color work running a PM74. I think this is reasonable. If I am using much more than that I am having a bad day. I will often recycle MR sheets if they feed good and don't have too much spray powder on them.
