Spot color character needs to change

In the sample PDF you posted, there's a weird baseline shift in the first two characters of the next-to-last line. This file appears to be a dummy or template, but I'd hate for that to show up in your finals!

    Has anyone gone self employed.

I've been self-employed for 15 years. My input: no matter what trade you are in, when you go self-employed, you are now in the business of sales, customer service, accounting and government paperwork. The actual service or product you provide to your customers is almost an aside. You may be the...

Z6100: Light Magenta is coming out lavender

The problem was definitely related to the ink cartridge and NOT the printheads. When I replaced the Light Magenta cartridge with a new one, the problem cleared up after a few prints. Has anyone else seen this on a Designjet?

Z6100: Light Magenta is coming out lavender

Thanks Erik. Interesting possibility. Perhaps the fact that my Light Magenta cartridge is almost depleted (below 50ml) has something to do with it. Maybe there's a bit of back-draw in the near-empty bag? That might explain why the problem is occurring with both LM/LC printheads, yet...

Z6100: Light Magenta is coming out lavender

Printer: HP 60" Z6100ps. I noticed my prints were starting to go slightly green, so I ran a color calibration and noticed the Light Magenta patches were printing as a lovely shade of lavender or light purple. Diagnostic print confirms it: the patch that should be pure Light Magenta is now light...

HP Z6100 not accepting ink cartridges problem

Thanks for the tip Paul, though I think it would be better for the integrity of this forum if you disclosed in your post that you work for the company that sells the ink cartridges you recommend. Having said that though, I have a question. I've never used non-HP cartridges. How does the printer...

HP Z6100 not accepting ink cartridges problem

Follow-up/resolution to my previous post. I was able to confirm that my three Light Gray cartridges were "faulty" by checking them in another Z6100. I installed a new Light Gray cartridge in my Z6100 and it liked this one. So that means that (before I swapped out the ink supply assembly) my...

HP Z6100 not accepting ink cartridges problem

Update and details on same issue: Printer: Z6100ps 60-in., p/n Q6654C, Firmware version GG-GG_11.0.0.2 (latest). The printer thinks every Light Gray cartridge I install is faulty. Per Z6100 diagnostics and HP phone support, I replaced the entire Ink Supply Tubes and Trailing Cable assembly. No...

    Two HP Z6100 Issues/Questions

Hi Wayne, Size accuracy has been a problem for many with the Z6100, myself included, but losing 1/8" in just ten inches seems excessive! Unfortunately for those of us for whom size accuracy is critical, the Z6100's media advance calibration optimizes for quality (i.e., minimizing visual...

HP Z6100 not accepting ink cartridges problem

When you say you installed "new lines," do you mean the Ink Supply Tubes and Trailing Cable Assembly? And that didn't work? Have you been able to resolve the issue? I've had this problem with my Z6100 since it was new. At first it was just a nuisance and reseating the cartridge once or twice...
