    Two Sided Proofing

You have Apogee, perfect! Do you have the 'Split for Proof' license? If so, that is what I was describing. It breaks down the main imposition into either 1-up pages (for unbound jobs) or 2-up spreads (for bound jobs) so that they can be printed on a laser printer. I've been using S4P for about 6...

    Two Sided Proofing

@SierraOffice, does your workflow offer any kind of feature that can break down the overall ripped imposition into 1-up's and/or printer spreads? If so, you might be able to produce some of your work with a network printer or copier that has a duplexer. Just a thought...

    Montax Imposer IMB barcodes

Hi Tonez, I use the USPSIMBStandard font to produce IMB barcodes in Montax. The catch is, there are only 4 glyphs in the font's character map and they are all uppercase letters so your mailing software will need to be able to generate the IMB data as such. Here is a sample of what the data...

    Two Sided Proofing

Short of loading pre-cut sheets into an Epson (or other brand) and manually flipping the paper over to print the second side, the only automated two-sided proofing solution that I know of is an ImpoProof. https://www.impoproof.com/ Of course, if someone knows of another automated solution...

How do you transport plates to the pressroom?

I realize now that my subject line word choice could have been better. So, I changed "deliver" to "transport" which better describes what I am asking. pd

    Preps 6.1 Saving Problems

Ok, that eliminates my first idea. Next question (note that I haven't used Preps in years). In terms of the data Preps writes to a PJTF file, is this a preference setting that can be enabled/disabled? If so, maybe one of Preps' preference files got corrupted or something?

    Transparency RIP Issue

Interesting. When I first rendered the aforementioned Canva file, I was on Apogee v12. Now, I am on v13.5 and the Canva file renders all 6 positions correctly.

    Transparency RIP Issue

I thought I would ask because I had a similar issue several months ago with a PDF file created by Canva. Although the project was digitally printed using a Heidelberg rip, I thought I would try rendering it with my Apogee system and this is what I got. As you can see, it rendered two out of the...

How to Set Up a Perfect Bound Book w/Custom Spine Calculator in InDesign

Hi Mike, Please see below. Since the image stops at the fold and this would perfect bind, the pages need to be separated so the image can bleed off the left side of the page. Best regards, pd

Hi Mike, Thank you for the video. What if content on a text page stops at the inside fold? That content needs to bleed off prior to perfect binding. Best regards, pd

How do you transport plates to the pressroom?

Hi everyone, I am looking for simple ideas on how to deliver plates to the pressroom other than carrying them by hand. By simple I mean, maybe a cart of some kind? NOT looking for any kind of automation. Thank you, pd
