    KM C4070 verse Fujifilm v3100i

The new Fujifilm Revoria Sc180/SC170 would be the replacement for the V280 and thus the c4070. and the EC1100 would be replacing the v4100. I would have thought the pricing needed to match somewhat. In Europe, and around the world, Fuji have now broke away from Xerox so both offer rival...

    KM C4070 verse Fujifilm v3100i

Ah ok, is the 4100 available anymore through Xerox or is budget in the criteria? although that should be due for an new update in the next year. Have you looked at Fuji's Revoria range? They're making their way across the globe now but have no idea on pricing compared to Xerox. Also are you...

    KM C4070 verse Fujifilm v3100i

Sorry are you buying new or used for each? Being I understand the C4070 is current generation but the Fuji/xerox v3100 would be past generation? The v2100/v3100/v4100 would be a category above the c4070, this would be comparable to the v280.

Fujifilm adds two more production models to the UK market

Seems to have similar specs and features as V280 for example ...... but I'm seeing optional upgrade mentioned alot. Looks like these two models are direct competitors to the V4100 and V280. So far I'm impressed with how fast they're entering the market, I expected it to be slower. Hopefully...

    Xerox Versant 280 consistent colour?

Are you sure it reverted back mid run or did the pile just get split and maybe order changed? I've had colour shift before on our v80 but I don't remember it going back. I'd generally have to recalibrate. Not common by any means so I don't remember the cause, I'd be thinking drum or developer...

Any Idea how this is printed

That's only for single spot printing, no movement. That wouldn't be suitable for print all around the ball like the op requested.

    XEROX Versant 180 mixed media

Yeh, our v80 does the same. I cheat sometimes and higher the set grammage on inside and lower for cover. When you say "multiple machines" that don't do it, do you mean other V180s?

Has anybody had trouble with cover stock paper sticking together with a Ricoh Lanier ProC5300S? Suggestions?

Been a while since Ive heard of this problem. Here's an old thread with possible solutions. https://printplanet.com/threads/ricoh-c7110-prints-are-too-hot-and-melt-togetner.22981/

    Xerox Versant 80- Purchase?

Sorry yes, I'd updated on post #29. I'd since got clarification from an analysist. It's the 2100 that's EOL Dec 23, the engineers had it wrong (two of them!)

    400gsm registration Xerox versant 280

That's a good shout, well spotted. I've had my V80 6+ years and I don't think I've ever used the doc feeder for alignment. 95% or more of our jobs are SRA3.

    fujifilm Revoria Press ec1100

I don't know, a quick google of videos and their webpages seems to have very little mention of "photo" or "gloss". Looks like the same production press spiel you see from any manufacturer/press. There is a 2 second mention of the photo AI in their main promo video. Which I'd say is just a...

    Xerox Versant 80- Purchase?

Alot of the parts/supplies are common to the V80/180/280 but alot aren't. At the end of the day if the parts cannot be immediately accessed by the Xerox (or independent) techs then the service contract is useless, especially it it's your only press. For us being a small shop we couldn't...

    Xerox Versant 80- Purchase?

Just to update. I've now been informed my V80 won't be EOL till end of 2024, the 2100 is end of 2023. I'd initially only been told by some engineers that were in and I was wondering why Xerox hadn't been officially onto me, especially to sell me a new machine. A software analyst in now just...

That's the thing, I reckon if it's there you won't hear the complaints that would have been if it wasn't.

    Xerox Versant 80- Purchase?

With Xerox we found the 3rd party dealers far more aggressive in sales. Bought an old 3535 with them and bought off Xerox direct for the DC242 and V80. We're lucky in that Xerox stores are within 10km of us so techs literally see what they need and go get it immediately if its in stock or not...
