    IBM Lotus Notes

Ah-ah! :) Maybe it's already Domino, I don't know. They call it Lotus, but the problem with the emails is still there.

Thank you Wiener!! ;) Enough for me.

    printing specs form

Since it's a 'standard' form - I mean: he's asking also about 'printing system' - it's unclear to me if it refers to something more specific. I'm printing offset. Could it be about flexo?

    printing specs form

(sorry I don't know where to post this!) A client is asking in his printing specs form about "White opacity (target ≥60%)" and I feel to answer "what?" Do you know what is he talking about?

Where to find very strong GCR ?

Do you have some more info about software to make/modify color profiles?

Where to find very strong GCR ?

Yeah, sadly to say but it's always a matter of "do what you can using Ø money"!! :( Boss' policy.

Where to find very strong GCR ?

It's not me, it's my pressman! He'd like a very 'skeletal' color conversion - where possible - to avoid color shifting during print. I may agree with him but I'm not able to find the way to suit his needs.

Unable to achieve a flats seamless grey with CMYK

I'm not a pressman but my pressman uses to say printing a seamless large area of halftoned color is way difficult so he always asks me to convert it to a spot color one. So I can assume is a press matter.

Where to find very strong GCR ?

Hello everyone, I don't remember if the question has already been addressed elsewhere, but I'm looking for a generic ICC ISO profile (such as FOGRA39) with a strong GCR. My printer colleague has tasted the sweet flavor of a photo with maximum black generation as you can do in Photoshop (see...

Preflight & fix too thin objects

I've found it in the old ArtPro: GOOD! (so far it isn't in the PLUS version - only in CLASSIC) https://docs.esko.com/docs/en-us/art...ak1717862.html

Preflight & fix too thin objects

Dov Isaacs Yeah, we all know: most designers & clients suck, and in 20 years I've not been able to fix this, and this is THE problem! ;) prepress labels Thank you, I didn't know about that one! Do you have some sample to provide me? Some screenshot? Some video from everywhere? PS: 'My...

Preflight & fix too thin objects

Suppose you have some hairlines and you have to fix them: everything is fine since you can do it quickly in Acrobat too. Suppose those hairlines aren't lines but tiny rectangles (such as 'expanded' strokes): how do you preflight them? Can you? Suppose you have tiny vector objects - such as an...

Whats with the trend of New Files from Client?

that seemd a good solution! by the way, same story here! :( Anyway... I think is a matter of 'educating the client' but most of us - read it as: most of our sales guys - don't wanna bother clients by the risk of loosing them for such "sillinesses" as redoing the same prepress job many times.

    PDF READER for DUMB clients

A nice help from you fellow guys could be helping building a list of features Acrobat does better than other PDF Viewers - something like "Acrobat does it better!!" ...and Adobe should pay us for this! EG: - overprint preview: YES - transparency processing: YES - color handling: YES - ... Hints?

    PDF READER for DUMB clients

It's mostly for professionals, not for (dumb) clients: It works ALMOST well but it's too much for a client who cannot install Acrobat; see here: https://twitter.com/prepressstress/status/950751119717871617

    PDF READER for DUMB clients

Yeah, you're right. "Affordable" in the meaning of boss' language, which means "I want it free!" ;) Anyway, I started a thread about it some times ago: https://printplanet.com/forum/prepress-and-workflow/esko/272829-esko-webcenter-alternative Jokes apart, I personally was looking for a less...
