    Is there something I'm missing???

Yes they have and we printed just the way they sent it last year . . . looked like a steaming pile, but apparently they don't care . . at least last year it was one file per page . . . But that reminds me of a time when I told a designer ( a long long time ago) that illustrator is to...

A few recent threads have gotten me thinking...

"Documentable Readout" are they specifically asking for a plate dot value? Could they be asking for a "final dot value" on the printed sheet, I believe that they would want the 2nd and wouldn't know what to do with the 1st since its value to the end product is only as a reference/starting point...

    Is there something I'm missing???

I've got a live one, a customer created a 26 page (never mind that the page count wont work for saddle stitching) and gave it to me in one photoshop document with 26 layers (with sub-layers). Is there any easier way to get it into InDesign than using the layer options dialog box? Is there any...

    USPS "Informed Delivery" - Discussion

There has been a rash of mail thefts lately in my area, San Francisco east bay, and it would be nice to be able to tell if, when you go to the mail box and its empty you could know if it was supposed to be . . . Trust me I'm all for print!!!!!

    Folder recommendation

I've got to chime in here, for a long time we were printing menus for a local pizza chain 14 inch tri fold. We got a Baum 714 air feed just for that and ended up giving it away it was such a PITA. If you have the floor space go for a real folder you will be happier in the long run.

    Folder recommendation

We have had several Baums and Stahl . . . but the one we have now is an MBO and we are just loving it . . . seems to be a bit more friendly . . . but you will most certainly want a pile feeder rather than a belt feed - you just don't have the volume.

    Folder recommendation

How much floor space do you have available? the better folders with a right angle section take up some real estate . . . A new tri creaser setup will set you back about $1000.00 and a good quality folder would be in the 10 - 15 thousand dollar range . . . you might consider a trade bindery in...

We have been using OPS for a while now. Epson Stylus Pro 7900 problems . . . .

We have been running a 7900 pro for our contract proofs and lately have been plagued with thin lines running across the sheet. We had a service guy in and said that it was due to scratched heads and plugging from a dirty environment, it sits in the front office, albieit within 25 feet of an...

Hot foil stamping on Matte laminated sheet

I would try, if possible, locking it up 180 degrees from how it is now and see if the "tails" change to the other side . . . if they do it might be that it has something to do with the direction of foil pull and its timing from the work moving away from the foil upon its release.
