    New 9200 Questions

Yea so as far as the spot color issue goes as I said before on the RIP tied to the 7110 never had to remove rater, but this is a different beast and appears we need to so no problem. Noted. I have two techs coming today there is definitely something wrong and come to think of it I don't think...

    New 9200 Questions

Okay so I am excited we actually have this on the floor now and ready to produce some work on it however, I have a few questions hopefully other operators can clarify or let me know if they are having the same issue. Image skew on sheet. So this is a weird one because the image was skewed on...

    Quick Question - Click Charge

So I can speak of our Ricohs and the way it works. I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean by print "White" but in our case when only using "White' toner there is no click charge. If you mean just send a sheet through with no associated values to that page, hence a "blank" page, it...

Ricoh Pro C7100 textured printing problem

So I tested this with a couple stacks, one being a laid stock. I did notice it seemed to lay down BETTER. It did not solve the problem on my end but it did seem to help. So this might be something to try for sure for those that are having issues.

Ricoh Pro C7100 textured printing problem

This topic is one that I go back and forth with my tech. I tell him the 651 seems to do a better job laying down than the 7110 and he as I am, is surprised. When we bought the 7110 it was supposed to be leaps and bounds better than the 651 handling textured but I have yet to see that. The...

    Color Calibration for Versant 80

I think FCPS is a great tool for establishing profiles however given the cost of the software and then the cost of the spectro that is basically what you have but needs to be an EFI issued one (ES-2000), the costs are pretty steep but really that is up to the person purchasing to decide. I...

    Profiling a Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-6000

Thank you very much for explaining that to me Mike. I really do appreciate you taking the time to explain that and was hoping you would post. So now I'm not sure what to do HA. I built another profile based on another paper type canon has listed when you go to build a custom profile however the...

    Profiling a Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-6000

So we bought this printer to replace our imagePROGRAF 9100. Well I built the profiles for that machine and all was great. Prints were outstanding and matched beautifully. No issues with color matching. Now we have a slight problem. Profiled the 6000 and everything went well profiles appear to...

    Canon 6011 fiery calibration question

    Canon 6011 fiery calibration question

Hey Bill just curious about the life/condition of your spectro. Grabbing at straws but can you print out a "Spot Color Search" sheet and take several measurements and the readings hold? I mean within a reasonable tolerance of .5-1.0 for each value. Just curious because just maybe the spectro is...

    Spot colour problems

So it may cause conflicts on some machines however I have never heard of it being an issue. However, again, that may not be the case for all machines. The thing is you can actually have multiple libraries v3 and 2nd edition coated for example and when it looks up the Pantone it actually will...

    Spot colour problems

So just want to go over a few things you may have already done: !. In "Color Management" window the "Spot Color" box is ticked ("Spot color matching") 2. It doesn't matter if you have v.2 or v.3 library. What matters is the spot callout in the file is spelled EXACTLY like the respective Pantone...

    Canon 6011 fiery calibration question

I remember seeing a similar problem at EFIs old boards. Not sure if this is the same problem but see if this helps at all. http://fieryforums.efi.com/showthread.php/6500-G7-Calibration-Using-the-Default-Profile-assigned-in-CWS

    Image Quality Thoughts....

Just curious OP since I haven't run these particular machines, do you have an option to run the screen as line? This ghost effect on other machines can be sorted by switching to line screen. Also the image with the "A" what size font is that? I ask only to get a size perspective. With that one...

    Ricoh C7100 density/saturation issues

So this is very true, they have an extensive facility back East that is set up with perfect climate control including the paper they are testing. However, most shops are not setup for strict climate control and because paper either sits for long periods of time under many environmental...
