Lotem 800V Motor Drum won't stop fast enough.

Sounds like your problem is at the beginning of unload when the drum is supposed to start spinning backwards 1. Make sure the vibration detectors are high and not tripping 2. Try changing this values: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Scitex\Projects\LOTEM800V\IO OBJECTS\Loading System\Drum\Drum High...

    Help with Magnus 800

You should paste the whole error message not just the numbers as it may serve other users as well. The errors you get are because of lost communication to the laser head. This does NOT necessarily means the laser is bad or going bad. On Magnus 800 the common causes of these errors are: 1...

Lotem 400 plate edge detection problem

This may have various reasons - dirty drum, lens, wrong focus, weak diode, plate changes, focus motor and so forth.... The plate detection is done by one diode - usually first going on and off the plate - it knows when there is a plate there by reading the reflection from it. if everything is...

Magnum 800 Quantum - loose laser head?

KamilT - are you located in SoCal? Was it a Kodak technician who said that? Maybe he referred to the screw supposed to adjust the head being loose - not the head itself...

    Help with Magnus 800 Error

I think I replied in another thread - this error will be displayed if the laser is not responding.

Magnus 400 Laser Diodes go crazy

From application or registry should be the same - in registry you can manually reset the first and last laser active and expose laser active values. Or you can make a registry backup of the branch and run it when it fails. Initially you said you cleaned the "small calibration window" - that is...

Magnus 400 Laser Diodes go crazy

the diodes are calibrated before each plot - diodes failures may have multiple causes - diodes going weak, dirty lens, bad light detector, carriage losing steps and many others. You can reset the diodes yourself through the laser group dialog. Run a calibration several times - if you see some...

Drum Flyoff message in Prinergy Evo 5.1.6.11

The firmware monitors the doors and it will not clear a flyoff status unless you physically open the door. If you turn the power off before opening the doors, the status will be remembered and you will have to open/close the door again. The flyoff detection system is independent of the drum...

    Trendsetter 800II Error 35780

Is the PDB stable with cables disconnected from it as I suggested earlier? If not, the board is bad. If the board is stable you may have a problem in the wiring for the safety loop taking the board down.

    Trendsetter 800II Error 35780

Disconnect all cables from PDB except power supplies and J13, J14 (CAN bus and terminator). Ignore the errors and see if the board is stable - if it is, try loading PDB firmware. If it keeps resetting with cables disconnected most likely you will need a new PDB. The part number is 10-4112L

    Trendsetter 800II Error 35780

Adrian, in your case, the Power Distribution Board (PDB) is not seen by the MCE. This is why your >>sio con 10 fails. This is usually caused by a firmware error on the PDB, bad CAN cable or bad PDB. "[PST:No response received from Power Distribution Board]" Your safety loop shows open because...

Agfa Thermostar P970&P960 on Kodak Magnus VLF = binding on Staccato screening

BS from Agfa. Agfa plates are poor for high quality printing. As far as I know, the only plates better than Kodak are Fuji P970 is only qualified for Staccato 25 - Agfa P980, Azura TS and Energy Elite may work as they are qualified for Staccato 20 but I would still recommend Kodak or Fuji...

    Kodak vs. Fuji plates

This is a very old thread - you should have opened a new one. Anyway - in your case since you have such an old CTP device (Trendsetter with 20W TH1.0 - I guess from 1996) you will probably should use Fuji because it needs slightly less laser power.

    Kodak Quantum III 400_Problem

LoWang, Again, this is a GMCE machine with Th1.7. The LV error message is not caused by the hotlink cable. Only the "write laser" power going down due to bad PS or cable may cause it (if he's lucky) - the 24v in the message is generated internally in the head.. The head will not boot at all in...

    Kodak Quantum III 400_Problem

There is no 24v power supply for the laser (using two 48v power supplies). LV stands for light valve In the first case - do you get any error or you see the progress bar going all the way and the job reported as successful? Replace all laser cables. Check carefully the log files. If there are no...

Kodak Service ending soon on Lotem Machines

Jackie, if you're really in Burnaby, BC where the Kodak CTP headquarters are, you should know better than most that Lotem support will be there for a long time, at least for as long Kodak is in this business. Kodak is still supporting old TS3 Trendsetters that have been produced until 1998...
