    Zapier for print? (or Make)

We have three printing facilities in Sweden and we are using several tools for integration and automation. Redhat FUSE (Not low code, but we use it as our central integration platform to connect serveral E-com platforms to our ERP PrintVis/Business Central) Enfocus Switch (Commercial print file...

Getting bad results with profiling on durst Rho P10-250

Hi, the linearization looks good. And when viewing the profile in ColorThink Pro and compare it to other standard CMYK-profiles the gamut of your profile looks quite good. I don't see any bumps or other strange phenomenons. When converting from RGB (relative and perceptual) I can see some minor...

Getting bad results with profiling on durst Rho P10-250

Could you share a screenshot of the linearization as well? Also could you maybe attach the icc-profile here? (You can save it on the desktop in Easymedia).

Bleed Edge clipped, to next page.

What problem does this cause in the final printed product? Is it a really a problem?

What settings are you using for Color Input in Fiery?

I would use the following settings: RGB: RGB source = sRGB Use RGB embedded profiles = Yes RGB rendering intent = Relative BPC or Perceptual (depending on the printer profile, papper etc) Print RGB gray using black only = Off CMYK: CMYK source = Your preferred house standard Use CMYK embedded...

    Epson Proof Resolution Setting

Which proofing software do you use? We are using GMG ColorProof alongside Epson SC-P5000 devices. The default GMG "media standards" cap the printing resolution at 720x1440 dpi. However, by configuring your custom print standard through the Epson Driver, you can enhance this to 2880x1440 dpi and...

Getting bad results with profiling on durst Rho P10-250

Yeah, something looks off with the chart or the measurement. I would retry the process and maybe choose another chart. Also if you have another measurement device to try with, like a i X-rite 1 Pro or similar. Best of luck!

Getting bad results with profiling on durst Rho P10-250

The shape of the gamut looks really strange. Could you compare it with Fogra39 and show us the result? I've done many profiles on with Easymedia for a Rho P10-250 but did never have this issue. Are you using a third party ink?

Fogra 51 and 52 profiles do not match ISO 12647 !

We are using the Fogra51 and Fogra52 values instead of 12647-2, mainly because the values better represents the real world of our production (paper color and CMYK inks).

    Why Mac?

Thanks, but that thread is 4 years old. Since then Windows 11 has been released. I'm guessing that could have changed peoples opinions.

    Why Mac?

Hi, I've been working with Prepress for the last 20 years and since I started we've always been using Mac's at the Prepress departments. But in the last year I have a growing feeling that it might be better if we transitioned to Windows (11). I can't think of any software that we use that is...

media wedge & spots on color proofs

As long as that custom profile has it's own mx-profile in GMG the answer is YES. But maybe they are doing some shortcut that I'm not aware of and therefore cannot include a media wedge??

media wedge & spots on color proofs

I'm also a long time GMG ColorProof user and administrator. Adding a media wedge is two clicks away in the workflow settings. And a media wedge can be added for any proofing condition.

media wedge & spots on color proofs

Regarding the spot colors: To proof a spot color, you need a precise definition of the color. I assume you mean Pantone. Most professional proof RIPs have a Pantone library with Lab targets that can override the alternate color space of the spot color in the incoming file. The Lab value is...

media wedge & spots on color proofs

Any CMYK profile can be proofed and verified, regardless of whether it is a standard or not. To check if a proof matches a specific CMYK profile, you need to have the ICC-profile that corresponds to it, some kind of media wedge, appropriate software and measurement device. The ICC-profile...

    Prepress automation bakeoff

Yes, I have done a deep dive. Today we are using Enfocus Switch as our main workflow tool. Enfocus Switch are using other tools (applications) for doing various tasks. Some of the tools we are using with Switch are: Pitstop Server (PDF handeling and color management), Tilia Griffin (LFP...

    Printer color management settings confusion

This is why you (in most cases) need to use a RIP when creating you own curves or icc-profiles. The RIP contains drivers for your specific printer and you can bypass all color management when printing (other then the color management of your choice that you have selected within the RIP). 14...
