    Xante inks

The toner low gauge on our Impressia is really inaccurate. We'll get 1000's of impressions while it's yelling at us to change toner soon. We don't change it until the machine stops.

    No Lubricant....

The PCU's on the 7110 have a sensor or flag, when the lubricant bar get low that trips. If you've tried more than 1 pcu it sounds like machine, not part issue. When you speak to the tech they may be able to get you into service mode to clear the error.

Touchline CF375 Creasing & Folding Machine

We haven't experienced issues with fold accuracy on 60#. If we're folding something that thin it's usually an offset stock with nothing on the spine and doesn't need a score. It's easy to slow down & speed up the machine from the control panel. 90-95% of the issues we have with folds drifting...

Xante Impressia Enterprise Feeder speed ...

On most non-remit envelopes, the Xante is where we can keep on eye on it. My one operator put one of the angle pieces on the envelopes. It slows the advance. It will get to the point where they won't advance and the machine will be "out of paper" but, that's better than a jam. My technique is...

Xante Impressia Enterprise Feeder speed ...

The short answer is no. The longer answer is Noooo. We've had our Impressia for about 3 years and I was told by the sales rep recently that the feeder speed was variable in the new model.

    Ricoh 7200 Wrinkles...

We we're running GL on our job. I'll need to check if it was dull or gloss. It's an annual job. The images also get clear toner on top to add to the density.

Touchline CF375 Creasing & Folding Machine

The Touchline is a great machine. It's much quieter than the Morgana I ran at my last job and it will handle a broader range of stocks. We regularly run 60# & 70# offsets on the machine. It gets grumpy when running the lightweight opaques but, for short runs it's still faster than setting up the...

    Ricoh 7200 Wrinkles...

We've had something similar with our 7110. It was a combination of thin paper, 70# and very heavy coverage on both sides of the sheet. The only fix we found was to go up paper weight to 80#.

    Xante Impressia

Try a higher GSM. Our impressia is very sensitive to GSM setting as the fuser gets worn.

OKI C942 Envelope Printer - run quantity limit

We don't have the Fiery we use Iqueue on our Xante. If we enter 1000 the machine prints and 999 then pauses and prints one. I'm surprised the Fiery doesn't behave the same way.

Warehouse inventory management suggestions for Low volume.

We're looking for a solution to handle a small amount of warehousing and shipping. The total number of products is less than 50. We'll receive between 50 and 100 orders a month. We need a solution that lets us pick the item and generate a packing list. The products are going to ship USPS media...

    Digital bindery

We had 3 Sabers at my last shop. It was a web shop, they ran them all day and 1 was run second shift 5 days a week. The operators all liked them. In the 2 years I never saw a major issue. I'm not sure of which model was being used.

The next big opportunity for offset?

It's happening already. Sites like Spoonflower.com sell short run fabric to sewers. It's significantly more expensive than a run to Joanne's Fabric but, you can order a minimum of a yard and designers upload unique designs.

do imagesetters need to be in a ventilated place?

I'm not a expert but, I used the DPM line for 10+ years. The chemistry is heated and constantly evaporating so, some of it's getting in the air. Mine have always been in more open spaces. I would think it would be at best unpleasant in a 12X12 room.

How do you achive your Fiery jobs

Thanks for the replies. We were on CWS 5.8 because of bugs between the 7110 & 6.0. I just spoke to the Fiery specialist and he said 6.2 is a go. We're going to update to 6.2 and migrate the jobs through archive manager.

How do you achive your Fiery jobs

We regularly archive our Fiery jobs on the Fiery server but, would like them to be backed up onto another device. We're currently trying to backup to a USB flash drive with limited success. When we archive large jobs 1GB+, the Fiery craps out. The flash drive is a 256gb USB 3.0 and the port is...

Stephen, Thanks for the reply. Here is a before and after of the cover photo. The shift is most noticeable on the screen in the jackets.

Printshop Mail PDF's printing differently then the original PDFs

We're output a PDF From PS Mail version 7.2.7 and the images are noticeably more "contrasty" then the original PDF. Black areas are plugged and light colors are faded out. The original PDF prints fine. Any suggestion on how to adjust the output from PS mail to correct for this? Thanks Ray

Prinergy user crashing on a single user-computer

We have a user who's account is crashing PW on one Mac. It works fine on other machines and other PW users can login using that Mac under all users. I don't think it's a Mac user account issue but, a Local PW issues. Anyone have a suggestion? TIA Ray

    DPM34sc Strange plates

My experience with these machines is with the 2340 & the 2404 so, it's a bit dated. We had a laser go out bad on our machine and the exposure looked normal except the dot was soft. The laser wasn't focusing properly. Your issue looks completely different. Is this on every plate? How many...
