    any Feedback about Canon C6010

We've been running our 6010 for about 2 weeks and our at 39k. We upgraded from the bizhub 6500. The 700 is a machine I would compare to the Konica 6000/7000 not the 6010 even though speeds are supposed to be comparable. So far with the 6010. Color out of the gate is vastly superior to the...

Xerox 800 vs KM C8000 vs Canon C7010VP

We ended up getting the Canon 6010. It's arriving in a few days. I posted our process and how we came to our decision in a previous thread. I'm reposting it below. I am not a purchasing expert of any sort but, I feel over the last 15 years I've been involved in a lot of equipment purchases...

    HELP Richo vs Bizhub

I was looking at the Ricoh 720/920 with a Fiery RIP. I felt the Canon 6010 and the Bizhub 8000 both performed better in the skin tones and gradients. The Ricoh had a lot of banding in the gradients. I gave all the vendors the same files and told them to match the offset as closely as possible...

Guide to Buying New Digital Equipment

We chose the the Canon 6010. It best met our needs at the price we wanted. we would have liked the VP but the CPM is not a huge issue for us and this machine gives a a significant speed boost over our 6500. Also the VP requires 3 phase which would require additional expense in instalation The...

    HELP Richo vs Bizhub

I wan unimpressed with the Ricoh 920. this was compared to the bizhub 8000 and the Canon 6010 VP. I would suggest if you can to keep an eye out at on demand to see what is new and what deals are going to be offered.

Guide to Buying New Digital Equipment

I am not a purchasing expert of any sort but, I feel over the last 15 years I've been involved in a lot of equipment purchases, digital, offset, bindery etc. I feel that we've developed a system that is easily adaptable to any one in the industry. Since this is the digital forum I'll use that as...

    9x12 28 lb Peel and Seal Envelopes on a Xerox DC252 ?

I regularly run envelopes through the 242 and our B&W 4112. The 2000 4/4 10x13's with 80% coverage on each side was probably pushing it but the worked. The biggest issue is the machine crushes the crap out of the envelopes and you can get wrinkles. Sometime the way you think they should run is...

Upgrading from the Bizhub 6500 Looking for opinions

To answer a few questions I like my KM, why look at other machines? I came out of the Alphagraphics system and would have never looked at the KM back then, we took a big risk on the machine and it paid off. Why would I not look at other machines to see who is leap frogging who. I am using a...

Upgrading from the Bizhub 6500 Looking for opinions

The problem with the Ricoh line is getting someone to call you back. I have a machine under Ikon and here's been my experience so far 6 months getting the service contract implemented properly with 2 different reps Contacted by a third still current rep (I think) Requested detailed info on the...

Upgrading from the Bizhub 6500 Looking for opinions

X33, that's our plan. I'm actually going to do a double blind test with a few of our people and tests from the machines, including our 6500.

Upgrading from the Bizhub 6500 Looking for opinions

So we end our 4 year lease with our Bizhub 6500 in March and are getting ready for an upgrade, buying the machine does not make financial sense at this time. We are looking at the following machines. Bizhub 7000 Bizhub 8000 Canon 6010/7010VP Xerox 7002 The 6500 has been a good machine but I...

    KM 6500 - printing "restart"

I've had this issue happen with other machines but, not the 6500. In the past its been an issue where the fuser was having difficulty holding the temperature. Perhaps you have a fuser lamp going bad (Do they still use fuser lamps?) Anyway. I hope this helps. Ray
