    Acrobat DC Extract

Matt is correct, also every version of Acrobat saves in it's own version, unless as Matt suggested you "optimize" PDF version you want. Traditionally Enfocus Pitstop had in it's preferences "Prevent changing version on save" option that would prevent Acrobat from changing version of PDF during...

    Adjusting element widths easily

Not sure when they changed it but in version 11 or higher you have "Anchor point" in same way that is in illustrator, that lets you change reference point and position and size.

    Acrobat DC

I stand corrected, thanks Joe, I must have turned it off in Indesign while ago and forgot about it :) I remember when Photoshop came out with application frame on by default, it was horror.

    Acrobat DC

Leonard, you just might be right and this is the new way for everything, however I am just telling you my preference. There is something bothersome for me with that home window, perhaps I will grow to like it over time, who knows. Photoshop opens with frame by default so it looks like windows...

    Plugin compatibility with Acrobat DC

Quite Imposing 4 that is in Beta stage right now works really well. I am not sure when it will be out for purchase.

    Acrobat DC

Same idea here and it is against Mac design, I consider it unnecessary clutter. I can see how Windows person could not understand as GUI works in different way on Windows. Application should not block your view of desktop wallpaper or whatever you have in the background. If I focus on task, I am...

    Acrobat DC

My brief experience is very positive, except for the home window, still did not figure out how to get rid of it for good (no drag and drop in window either, kind of useless). Other than that finally Acrobat seems very fast and responsive, kudos to Adobe. I even tested Quite Imposing 4 beta and...

    new Adobe Acrobat DC

Anyone knows if you can have Acrobat 10? If I have both Acrobat 10 and XI, is DC going to uninstall both or just XI?

PitStop Pro compatibility with Acrobat DC

Writing was on the wall for a while, Adobe's priority is web and mobile, like the rest of Hi-tech industry. They do not care much about printing and prepress anymore, I can't blame them. I do appreciate faster Acrobat, as soon as our plugins gets updated, I will switch, too bad I can not keep...

PitStop Pro compatibility with Acrobat DC

Thanks for info, I thought DC was another "Document Cloud" touch thing.

    signa-printready error!

I think we've seen similar things in the past, since last couple of upgrades (we are on latest 2015 version) we have yet to see it. Did you try usual suspects, resaving layout, printing new jdf, etc... If you post JDF with couple of pages, I can try in new version and let you know result.

    Invisible printing

We are running digital on Nexpress fluorescence, as well as printing it offset on stamps, your pick.

Rampage v13 to XMF or Prinergy.

I like Cory's advice, go with platesetter and plates first and work from there, everybody is after consumables. Workflow is mostly one time purchase and service contract is the only way for vendor to keep making money on it. At any point in time you can cancel service contract if you are brave...

    Adobe Add-Ons

Nice find. In this age of information overload it is easy to miss gems. Thanks for pointing this out.

    Double Sided Imposition Proofing

It depends on your needs. Another solution like Djet is Impoproof impoproof I doubt Meta would be able to drive this, usually these companies have their own hybrid version of up to handle data. We use Meta's with our Prinect workflow and we drive Epsons and colour laser for booklets. If the...

Rampage v13 to XMF or Prinergy.

We use Prinect and are very happy with it. It is complete solution with trap editor, plugin form Acrobat for all kinds of helpful things like varnishes, spot colors, trim boxes, splitting, scaling, etc.. you name it. We also have license for "Digital gate" that lets you print to digital devices...

Prinegy and Preps together, good or bad works

Wow, I never used such an old version. We are on latest version 20013, but from what I remember that option was in every version we used, since 3.5 on. You have to create Output parameter set and there you define what do you want to be output, PDF, JDF, Pjtf, etc.. I hope this helps.

Prinegy and Preps together, good or bad works

Not sure what you mean by that, but we make Prinergy pjtf from Signa and import into Prinergy, assign pages, ad so on...

Prinegy and Preps together, good or bad works

You can use other imposition software with Prinergy for sure. We are succesfully using Signa Station from Heidelberg with Prinergy, officially nobody will support it, though.

    InDesign to Illustrator

Then I stand corrected, in such case my theory does not apply.
