You don't mention what your actual issue is, but I am guessing it is feeding and your tires are worn down? How many clicks do you have on it? One thing I did that helped a lot was flipping the envelope around and feeding it flap last for a majority of our jobs where we don't need to run SEF.

At those amounts I would suggest at a minimum the 5300 and keep the 5100 as a backup. If doing 11x17 you would benefit from stepping up to a green line (refurbished) 7200 from Ricoh. At those volumes you should be able to support it if this is pay for print.

You need to upgrade so you can print 50k 11x17 2up and cut them.

What are you looking to print? You have options in Black only, the cheapest would be HP45 cartridge based solutions like the AP3, but if you will be printing HQ graphics they are not the best fit as you will have gaps in between the cartridges.

A good proofing software will keep track of all the changes in a history or notes field so the customer will have that in front of them everytime they request a change through the software. You can then put in that change 1 of 3 and 2 of 3 and 3 of 3 so they know ahead of time.
