Anyone using Fuji Superia ZD plates?

Thanks. I contacted Fuji. I'll do a test run soon. We're a folding carton sheetfed plant and we run UV. I'm just not crazy about not clearly seeing the image on the plate prior to going to press. Did you have any issues with that?

Solids appear lighter in leading edge

Does it happen at start up or as the run progresses? Try a new plate. I've seen plate breakdown that looks like that and for some reason it appears first on the finer areas. 7488 may be an aggressive/abrasive ink.

Anyone tried doing embossing with an offset press?

Sounds like a disaster resulting in repairs to me.

Anyone try Neo 10.1.4 with Sierra and/or High Sierra?

    Thanks for the tip!

Anyone try Neo 10.1.4 with Sierra and/or High Sierra?

Currently running Yosemite. That's a good idea but I'm not sure how to do that. I'll have to investigate.

Anyone try Neo 10.1.4 with Sierra and/or High Sierra?

Because we receive files from customers that were built in CC 2018 and you can't open and edit maintaining the integrity of the original file.

Anyone try Neo 10.1.4 with Sierra and/or High Sierra?

The question is whether or not Neo 10.1.4 will run on Sierra or High Sierra. Esko doesn't support it, but I use the program regularly and need to upgrade our Macs from Yosemite in order to use Adobe CC 2018. I can't get a hold of an El Capitan installer. It's no longer available through Apple.

    nothing? no one?

Anyone try Neo 10.1.4 with Sierra and/or High Sierra?

I'd hate to lose this program, but Adobe CC 2018 forces the hand to upgrade our OS.

    CGS Oris Color Tuner users...happy?

I'm really on the fence with this software. I find it to be the least intuitive, user friendly interface around. I just finished setting up a new Epson P9000 and it finally gave me a chance to get in the program a bit deeper than I have. I used EFI Colorproof XF for years in the past and I found...

    Navigator looks like window 98

You're right. The Harlequin RIP interface seems relatively unchanged since the 90's. I'm a happy user. It's simple enough and works great driving a Screen platesetter. I don't know how I feel about Xitron anymore...there's the RTI option as well. You can see in this forum that I created a...

    Issue with operator

That's reasonable. The amount of initial make-ready won't be different whether the run is 1000 sheets or 100,000 sheets.

    RTI vs. Xitron

Any thoughts? I'm currently a Xitron Navigator user and hold an annual support agreement. I never hear a word about available upgrades that are supposed to be included in my agreement. In fact, I never hear anything. I just get a support renewal agreement each year.
