    Image Viewer Not Working

Thanks for letting me know. Kind of a good and bad thing, we've been so busy, haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet! But I hope in the very near future to update.

    Image Viewer Not Working

That's what makes it even more strange to me. I've got 9100's both running the same version of command workstation and the problem is on both. I should hear something back from my Fiery tech today.

    Image Viewer Not Working

Yes and no. They want us to gut everything and reload from scratch. Have done that 5 times now on our one machine, I know that clone tool is supposed to speed this process up but we've never got it done in less than a shift. Workloads at this point won't allow us to do that at this time.

    Image Viewer Not Working

I've got 2 Ricoh 9100's both with the E83 controller and Fiery Command work station currently at version 6.5.0.292. The strange thing is that Image View no longer works on either? Whenever I try to use it on either controller I get the attached error message. If I "OK" out of this error...

    Press Recovery After Jam

You are absolutely correct. When I open a guard door, the schematic shows it as being open, then when I shut it, the schematic still shows it as being open. Sometimes when this is going on if I open the guard door on the finisher (no Plockmatic or anything like that on my machines) then the...

Yeah Shawn; I definitely agree with you on that!

Printing same image (2UP) on sheet problem with print

Anything with transparencies and my prepress department notes it on the job bag. For me that means never use a hot folder to put the file on the press, always just drag the file on. 99% of the time doing this and no problems with transparencies. If there still is a problem then flattening it...

    Press Recovery After Jam

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. If I ever get this figured out I'll let you know what it was.

    Press Recovery After Jam

Got 2 Ricoh 9100's, both with the same behavior. About 50% of the time after a paper jam, they never recover and are able to continue printing. The usual sequence is jam, self checking, warming up, printing, but of course they never actually print. A restart gets things going again but also...

    Ricoh 7200 Wrinkles...

Whoa! not good to do that on a variable job. One other thought; have you switched to paper with a different lot number? I've had it happen with paper from the same company was running good, then suddenly problems and I could trace the problem right back to where I was using paper with a...

    Ricoh 7200 Wrinkles...

Here is a thought about a possible work-around. If you don't have the issue running simplex, you could run the sheets through simplex, printing the side with the least amount of coverage first, then reload the sheets and print the other side, not a great solution but I've used in in the past...

    Ricoh 7200 Wrinkles...

There is a chance my tech might stop by today to rebuild some stuff, if he does I'll run this by him. He's been doing this for a long time.

    Ricoh 7200 Wrinkles...

That's not good. You should probably reach out to your tech and open a case. I'm looking forward to hearing what fixes this for you, good luck.

    Ricoh 7200 Wrinkles...

Interesting. I see you are located in the mid west. Depending on how much climate control you have for your machine, if it's gotten a lot colder and dryer (it has here in Pennsylvania) maybe that's having an effect? I haven't started to run my humidifier yet but I'm going to have to get it...

    Ricoh 7200 Wrinkles...

I run a ProC9100 but I believe they are similar enough that I can take a guess at this. I'd say it's the pressure roller in the fuser. If you have a spare fuser swap it and see if that helps. Also you could open a guard door while it's running and then see exactly where the wrinkle is...

    Ricoh 7200 Keeps Hesitating...

I'll get that behavior when running variable data, I call it "race the RIP". It's not fully done processing but starts printing, then the printing catches up with the ripping and the printing has to pause. The only other time I've seen this is when running mega heavy coverage, seems the press...

Ricoh 9110 Gray Issue....Solved...at least for me

Yeah; it's kind of a "pick your poison" kind of thing. Also, you can put in whatever values you want in that user defined 3. I've got some pretty good results changing it from 120 to 150. That the great thing about this group, I learn so much from other Ricoh operators that I could from any...

Ricoh 9110 Gray Issue....Solved...at least for me

OK guys; I think I might have something for you on this. Been with Ricoh running a ProC9100 for about 2 years now and had lots of problems with this same issue. But what always surprised me is some gray screens looked great, nearly perfect, no green, no magenta, no blotchy look, and others...

    Ricoh c9200 Print Quality Issue

Interesting. I know your machine is only a few weeks old, but even still just for diagnostic purposes you could swap fusers. I've had a few new parts (or freshly rebuilt parts) that have had a defect in them. Since it's in all colors I believe that would eliminate all PCU's and accompanying...

    Ricoh c9200 Print Quality Issue

Hey Troy; I had a similar problem on my ProC9100 a while ago on 80# gloss text. My tech suggested that I take whatever value I had in #92 (fuser nip width) and drop it by one. That's something you could try. Also the next time this happens you could assign the 2 test files I've attached to...
