Excessive Roller wear on Komori LS1040

it's ALOT of excess friction and heat. you say you have chilled rollers but that doesn't kill the friction.

Excessive Roller wear on Komori LS1040

not very familiar with that press at all but, do you replace bearings every time you replace rollers? does that press have the ability to run oscillating ink forms? if so, does it stay on all the time?

    man roland 300 Dampener Issues

we have always had this issue because the meters on our 300 dont skew. they are a pre determined skew and cant be changed. if you are using an alc. sub use a soft metering roller (like 18 to 20 shore A) and set stripe on the water form to pan roller a little smaller and the metering roller a...

MAN ROLAND 300 / tail wrinkles / distortion

i have a hard time believing it's from the IR lamps.

    Roland 300

first pull register is ok but is really dependent on plate clamp zeroing and how well the plates are punched. as for cocking, you get i think 1.25mm above or below zero. more than enough to register and square up if you dont want to move the infeed headstops

    Roland 300

we like ours. and like said already, keep the maintenance on the blanket washers up. also, keep the transfer cylinders clean, clean them once or twice a shift. they will mark easily if not taken care of. also, the metering roller doesn't skew on them, so make sure you get the proper meters...

    Heidelberg GTO52

well, i know nothing about the ab dick, never ran one and don't intend to try. i think the plan is to resell it. so i don't think feed will be an issue for me on the gto, having spent the last 7 years on the Roland and 1 on the qm46, with plenty of hours spent in between on a windmill, so it...

    Heidelberg GTO52

our company just acquired a smaller shop and we brought in all their equipment. one peice is a single colour GTO52 (i'd say somewhere in the mid 80's to early 90's model) anyway, just wondering if there's any quirks/tips or any other things to know about this thing? just wondering. Albert

we had a rep in from The Printing Ink Company/Rycoline who insisted we try their stuff. he gave us some sample pails of coating and a couple of cans of each process colour. the inks are: Emerald Series (eco friendly) Diamond process CMYK ISO 2846 compliant i've never even heard of this ink...

    QM46-2 problems

sounds like either the craptastic poly plates are stretching on you or they aren't clamped in tight enough

    QM46-2 problems

depends on the year. our '97 has it but our '99 doesnt. i think in either 98 or 99 they removed it in favor of a different system. (the same year they removed the extra solvent tank for the blanket washer)

    QM46 error code

yikes, i'm pretty sure they went overboard on the repairs. ive had this error come up before and the pump simply shut off. check the compressor, the ram likely isn't the issue
  15. A

    QM46 error code

"pressure switch - pneumatic" likely means your pump stopped and your pressure is outside of tolerance pop open the bottom panel under the feed table (where the air filters are) and check that your needle is in the green

couple of units on my press just refuse to washup

well, i found a bearing that was a little sketchy and swapped it out and it seemed to wash ok after that. i don't know if i trust that as being the fix, but i will see today.

ahh the rams are working properly :(

couple of units on my press just refuse to washup

hmm i never thought to check that. yeah, they are thrown on by pneumatic actuators. maybe one isn't working well. also, it washes up great if i squirt extra wash and water into the train while the auto wash is running, kinda leads me to think theres a roller that's not set correctly allowing...

couple of units on my press just refuse to washup

the wash hasn't changed as it's from the same drum as the previous week and i've been the only one to touch the press since the other guy is on vacation. even though the blades look fine i may just change them anyway. everything else seems to be fine.
