    Grit in roller train

Thank you very much for your info, I greatly appreciate it. We will be trialing some thinker steel liners within a week or two so I am hoping that helps. I also was told to heat up some water/solvent a 20% solvent to 80% water mixture and run that after my washup which greatly helps.

Thank you greatly for your help Aaron, I really appreciate this. Here I will try to answer all your questions. We run strictly led uv ink. Yes we have tested ink on bare stock by the fountain ball for several day, no problems there. Yes I am replacing my liners on Wednesdays, (we are only a...

    Grit in roller train

Led uv inks, no we do not have light covers but we have testing our lights to make sure it's not drying up the ink. I showed this to a trainer and he said it's normal for uv presses.

    Ripping sheets

Yes they do line up exactly. Sometimes it's at the very edge of the sheet and next time it's in like in the photos which makes it very hard to spot

    Ripping sheets

Good day fellow printers, I am having a problem in our infeed on our 8 color 106xl Heidelberg. I am ripping the tail end of my sheets as they go into the press at the Infeed. We have narrowed it down to it being the headstops coming back up to stop the next sheet. Any ideas on what it is...

    Grit in roller train

Good day fellow printers, I have been having a problem lately with a lot of grit in my roller train. I have tried washing it out but have not been very successful. I could do a Calcium slayer and hot water rinse every evening just to try to stay after it. Has anyone seen this before? We are...

    Who's advice to follow?

Good day Gentlemen. I apologize it took so long for me to respond. I have talked this over with a Heidelberg rep and he told me to skew my meters harder. I did and it definitely helped. I honestly think I have two problems on my hands 1. Bad roller stripes 2. We need a different plate. I...

    Who's advice to follow?

I have tried that and the water guy backed out a couple days ahead. We did do a conference call already. I know the water guy wants me to try a different ink so that tells me he knows his product is not doing the job, correct?

    Who's advice to follow?

Good day fellow friends, Recently I had posted a forum on here about slinging ink. The feed back I received was very helpful and I am thankful for that. Sadly it did not fix my problem of the slinging. So now my next question is who's advice do we follow? The ink man or the fountain solution...

Uv ink slinging on a Heidelberg

Correct about the curing. My ink man has taught me his thumb trick to see if it is curing. Yes the uv lamps are shielded to keep any light from hitting the plates. Thank you for that input. I was not sure what to make of it when I added the alkaless 6000 and saw that it immediately made a...

Uv ink slinging on a Heidelberg

I will have to try that. Right now I have my meters skewed to 7. My trainer and I had started at 6 but I thought it ran better at 7. Who would you suggest that we try first? I really like the toyo ink. That has dried the best of the couple of inks that we tested.
