    Varnish Over Toner

ColorMonkey, You are saying if you run say 200-300% TIC (processed black) in an area and then coat with UV you can take a coin / finger nail and not scratch UV off? BTW, I just noticed were neighbors. I'm in PDX.

    Varnish Over Toner

I've tried running digital through offset to put a satin varnish over the wax/glossy toner with never getting good results. The toner acts like barrier if there is heavy coverage and nothing bonds. As per UV varnish sure you can get it to cure, but there is the infamous flaking problem no one...

    Blanket torque

Hi, Thought I would ask as I can't find any specs indicating blanket torque on a Ryobi 34cm press. Are there any published spec on this?

    DI ink pilling

Thanks for all the posts! So after close inspection of the first few sheets of the run I noticed under the loop that the paper was actually picking in the area that would then start to pile. I currently run 25c which is the top of the temp range that the chiller allows so can't go up from here...

    DI ink pilling

Hi, When running heavy black solids I get pilling on the tail edge of the solid. I've tried two inks, but no change. Different blankets, but no change. Can anyone give me some ideas to try or to look for? The problem doesn't seem to ever happen to the K control bar. Attaching dropbox...

    Ricoh C9110 recommendations

We've been demo running a c9110 and are very impressed so far with uncoated (haven't run coated yet) stock. The two main things that stand out are more satin toner and flat sheets. I've never seen a digital printers sheets lay so flat. We always have some wave or curl. I do have a interesting...

From what I’ve heard the 7110 and 9110 are not related. I’m surprised by your rave review but it might be machine based. We have several shop here with very bad reports on the 7110. I think the issues were paper feed problems. We currently run Konica’s newer line and love the registration, but a...

Hi all, We are in the market for a new digital printer and the C9110 has some very attractive options. I was hoping to get some input from real world users. I would like to hear how users find this printer holds up against prior machines and what it's up time and image quality are. I have a...

Watching the US wrastle with healthcare

A word to the blind regulations: there are an awful lot of rich "low income" households who just love to take government cheese.

Watching the US wrastle with healthcare

I see it the same way. You can't have your cake and eat it too. There is no way to be fair. Someone will always feel as if they didn't get what they were owed. Government can't fix the problem because the government knows nothing about innovation but simply regulation. The insane thing is we...

Anyone running Toyo inks on a waterless press??

Disappointed, How are you running the rollers at 25c when the lasers are suppose to be at 26c and there is a 3c spread? What room temp are you running?
