    customer stock

When I have seen that done it causes errors due to arcing. I have seen some "metallic" stuff run but I wasn't conductive either because it wasn't really a metal foil or it was coated.

Versant 3100 or Ricoh 7210e Used or New

If you want a contact it's going to be up to the local office if they want to take it on or not. You can alway do time and materials too. Nothing wrong with the 7110 there are still many of those in the field.

Xante Enpress New Drum uses Fuse Blow to reset counters

I would run it till it stops or has a copy quality issue. With the used ones you could use them if you have a copy quality issue and don't need to clear the counter. Otherwise I would keep bugging xante and tell them you want them pro rated.

How cheap are Riso inkjet printers to run?

So like these Riso | Digital Duplicators right? Digital duplicators are very cheap if you are making over some number of prints of a page. Not huge number but you would not want to make two prints. Every time you make a new print it is making a new master so you would have to see what the...

Xante Enpress New Drum uses Fuse Blow to reset counters

Does it stop printing when you get the message about the drum replacement? I thought they kept running but just had the warning message about it needing to be replaced.

How cheap are Riso inkjet printers to run?

Gotta link to what machine or something close? When I hear riso I am thinking of the kind of machine where it burns a master wrapped around a drum.

PRINT CONTROLLERS & APPE (PDF PRINT ENGINE) 5.0?

Sometimes updating things causes problems too 😊 Just look at windows updates. Sometimes I will see appe cause files to print incorrectly. I don't know enough about all of the options when creating the document to know why but sometimes I need to turn it off. Now maybe if they had a newer version...

Pay Per Click vs Pay Per Visit

You can get automated offline perfect binders. I don't service them but what I see is people will keep those offline finishing devices way longer than the in line ones. Maybe with a offline one you could switch to self service of the printer.

    Matte/Uncoated Finish

Does it work? I wonder what they do differently to the roller? I have only seen the level of glossiness be changed buy the temperature and the toner.

    Fiery vs KMBS print controller

I see when the sales people will sell a Fiery over the OEM controller because in the past they sold the OEM on and it didn't do what the customer so they push the Fiery.

    Fiery vs KMBS print controller

I think it's easier on the Fiery to drag the files into command workstation and then set the options from there vs opening the file and printing it. What is your original file like? A one up that you are doing the bookletizing in the Fiery? If all the books are setup the same you can do a hot...

    Fiery vs KMBS print controller

Fiery interface is going to be mostly the same on any brand machine. EFI also has a lot of good stuff on their website. They also have training at learning.efi.com

    konica 12000 VS Ricoh 9200

I find the Ricoh drums are really durable and last longer than the rating as long as the rest of the parts like the lube bars are kept up. I don't really know the cost but I know they are cheap compared to the old selenium ones. I remember people going to great lengths to save those old ones.
