I asked around Printing United 25 about the registration / image quality module pricing for Canon (Sensing Unit), Fuji/Xerox (Smart Monitoring Gate), and Konica Minolta (IQ-501). All are around $20,000 USD extra.
Cheap option:
Expensive option $7700:

I don't think toner is good for large envelope...
Web to print, prepress, and bindery/postpress automation. Shouldn't be super expensive. Followed by redundant equipment to mitigate risk of supply chain and service tech issues.
What other error messages are you getting?
Couple of thoughts-
1- if paper doesn't move at the expected speed from sensor to sensor, the printer may jam. Old rollers that don't have sufficient friction can cause this.
2- the registration unit may need calibration, overhaul, or replacement. You...
There are a bunch of printing Facebook groups. There is a lot of scammers on there, so be sure to present your website and work samples. Videos talking about yourselves and showing you work with screen recordings would be a plus.
8.5x11 not aligning? Yikes...
Might try a fuser frame replacement or swap (it is four screws and a careful 2 person lift to be safe), but a sales rep or technical manager should be able to request a full press replacement if your service agreement includes a satisfaction guarantee.
What sizes, weights, and paper surfaces have you replicated this issue with?
How far off is the alignment and in what direction(s)?
Did the tech try swapping the fuser and/or fuser frame from the normal 280 into the flaky 280?
Same question for the alignment module.
I have not found a repository of service manuals, but they do cross my radar sporadically. A number of vendors keep their manuals and technician notes in propriety encrypted apps.
Sorry for your loss. I'm in a different state, but a number of artists in my area are doing old school offset print making. You might post in relevant garage sale Facebook groups and just require that whomever picks up takes everything.
Here's inspiration for a foil embellishment video. That, and I'd like to see a walkthrough of foiling from start to finish including the file setup and media setup/application, and what you can and cannot do.
you might also ask this question in reddit.com/r/commercial printing. This forum skews heavily United States and Fuji has only recently started selling here and Xerox and Sharp, who rebadge Fuji equipment as theirs, are not selling the 5 color Revorias at this time.
I'd go with the better service with Konica.
I can't speak for the Revoria SC285, but some toner presses require multiple passes to get white to be opaque. The metallic samples that I have seen from the Xerox Irridesse (Revoria EC1120) are not very impressive compared with foil. The specialty...
Here is the Google Translate
I am about to buy a new printer, I am choosing between Fuji Revoria Press SC285S and Konica Minolta AccurioPress C4070. Fuji tempts me with the ability to print white and metallic, Konica has better service. Does anyone have experience with Fuji and would like to...
Can you browse to the files using an administrative share, ie
servername.domain/D$/filepath/whatever
where D is the driver letter
If you cannot, you may need to re-set the access control list. You can Google how to use CACL from the command prompt (stands for Change Access Control List).
But...
I have run NCR through a Versant 3100 in runs of up to 10,000 sheets and one of my friends with a V180 runs considerably larger runs. Techs have told us that NCR reduces the life of the 2nd BTRs and also leaves residue on the paper transport rollers that causes issues over time until it is...
I use AI products for Generative Fill in Photoshop, Excel formulas, powershell script writing.
I'd love to see someone come out with a Pitstop competitor that was trained to understand how PDFs work and how to manipulate them. An example would be adding bleed by using generative fill for...
