Try a patch blanket - they are self adhesive and you can cut them to just carry the image the rest of the envelope will never touch the cylinder and never wrinkle . . . .

Honestly I would consider hiring a programmer and have him write you some custom software . .. probably database driven that lives in the cloud . . . there isn't enough information in your post for us to make any recommendations . . .

You missed a decimal point . . . 2 mil = 0.002 = two thousands of an inch or it could mean mili liter = 1/1000 of a liter . . . wine bottles frequently come in a750 ml size and also 1.5 L

The biggest problem with tracing paper is that it is so lightweight/thin - that makes it very hard to feed into any printer - if you can find a roll fed inkjet it might give you acceptable results . . . other than that I'm all out of ideas . . .

You might want to try a dry erase type of pen . . .
