2 Weeks waiting on a fuser web for our 1000. Tech ordered it 5 times and it was canceled 5 times, even though it showed 70 in the warehouse. They just don't care.

The special fuser is a waste and ONLY works with A6 and A7 size. Any other size is equally slow to the regular fuser.

My Canon 460 ink is $330.00 for 2 Liters, so $0.165/ml and Mutoh ValuJet ink is $129.00 for 440ml or $0.293/ml all US dollars. That's why our Mutoh is just for vehicle wraps that require a high stretch ink.

Exactly why I didn't get Memjet heads. Also the quality is equal to or better than Memjet. But that is dependent on what setting you run at. The colors tend to pop more than Memjet as well.

Make sure you keep the paper in the dehumidified environment for a few days before printing. Also if you can keep the ream wrappers on and closed as they protect the paper as well. There is not perfect printer manufacture. You need to look at service even more so than the price. We are...

Never saw the oil, the wicks from Xerox are presoaked. When we had an 8080 years ago it was a silicon oil and cam in a quart jar. I wonder if you can get an iGen fusing agent and use that?

Correct, had the old drum and master and it was a pain in the butt. Plus you can number as you print with inkjet, or have different copy on different parts. Way more versatility.

Versants don't use fuser oil. I think iGen is the only Xerox using fuser oil yet. The rest use an oil impregnated wick to lube the belts.

We run single sided on a Riso GD7330, no masters. It WILL NOT print on the back side of NCR, just runs and smears. Duplexed are on 6136 or V180 if color is needed. We self service the Riso as there is not much to it.

You need a mchine with a decurler after the fuser. This is a set of rollers that adjust the curl direction to flatten out the printed sheet.

Do the files have spot colors in them or are they CMYK? If spots you may be able to preflight and convert to CMYK within Acrobat and resolve those issues. My new favorite are stupid Canva files..... one single page PDF had 72 transparencies on it. No chance that was printing correct.

Accuzip has much better support than BCC. I left BCC with an entire year left that I paid for because their support was so bad.

What printhead issues? Maybe with Memjet but not the HP Fl-1000 heads. Almost 700,000 on mine since August and it is trouble free. The best running envelope printer we have had, out of 3 Xantes, and a Riso 7335. The iJet 1175P will run laps around all of them.
