Seems to me, you could save a lot of money by making friends with a local printer, who can output what you need, once, or couple times a month. Maybe with a wide format printer. And these days, it doesn't even need to be local. Though personally I'd like to be able to visit face to face.

I have an old Digipunch.. Maybe 10 yrs old, (I forget) Works great. Changed the main drive belt 2 or 3 times.. Lube it once in a while. Replaced one jog solenoid. So you have a new model.. apparently. Good to know.

I know that feeling. However.. I had a thought.. Run some covers with cleaner on them. EG, A soft uncoated cover sheet with a cleaner of some kind.. I don't know the odds of igniting a solvent by doing that.. :rolleyes: But there are machines that use this method to clean up rollers etc...

Some things won't show sign. I'd be putting a ounce of bleach in there every week. Maybe over a weekend. Or.. a few silver coins (real silver) laying in there would work, to prevent bacteria growing. Legionnaires comes to mind.

My Canon inkjet won't even start up, unless humidity is over about 35% or better.. That is still low, and it has additional humidity conditioners internally. Definitely better for production inkjet printers. Better for static control. Better for your skin. Better for your sinuses. I keep it in...

I know nothing about the IQ system.. But generally.. Sounds like a magnification calibration issue. "Specs" may all be fine, but if it's miscalibrated, you're just compensating for error. Not fixing the problem.

We run a Merlin RO system. For humidification and also to feed our monster Canon IX3200, which requires it for internal conditioning. The Merlin is expensive, but very effective.
