Hi all! I have a customer who gives me press proofs where there are, for each ink, 3 patches: 25-40-80%. Obviously, if I print the same patches I have to get the exact measurements that I read on his prints (it's the only way). ... now ... I'm confused ... 1) I print the first test without any...

I've freshly argued with a client complaining about the low quality of his images on our color proof - hard to tell him the print will not be better.

I've used ORIS and I don't like how it behaves with Pantone transparencies, and I'm always getting dE values over 2 or 3, where GMG prints from clients are always under dE 2. I don't know EFI. ...thus I go with GMG, because is the de facto standard.

Please tell which one is your favourite, and also why. ...verbose answers only ;)

Yes, you are right: there are many ICC profiles based on the same Characterization data reference but e.g. with different black start or TAC. I'm really missing how to start (and how to go on) to create that kind of check in Acrobat. I need to check if the file has an output intent. Also I'd...
