Open up the back of the unit and at the top where your punch is, take some compressed air and blow out. You could be getting remnants of your plate punches caught that would cause the plate not to fully seat properly.

Been running an Agfa Acento with Azura plates for 5 + years. Pretty rock solid system. Low low maintenance, both on the physical side as well as the calibration side. Much more of a set it and forget it system which is what I like.

Does not always help, put instead of exporting directly out of Quark as a PDF, we export out as postscript then distill it using Acrobat. I could be wrong, but I believe Quark uses "Jaws" to distill, while Indesign being an Adobe product, uses Distiller.
