    Konica Minolta Accurioprint 2100 upgrade

Oh that’s actually not bad. I thought it was like those older office machines where you’ll just need to print from windows. Thanks for the info!

    Konica Minolta Accurioprint 2100 upgrade

I was in the market for a 2100 but realized that you cannot use a fiery. I personally love the command workstation setup where I have logs and queues of jobs since I sometimes print 100+ different documents a day. The 2100 as it stands needs to be used with the widows print drivers or does it...

    Konica Minolta LU-208XL and SD-513

I print a lot of books that have about 15-20 20lb 11x17 sheets (no slitting) with a 80lb gloss cover wrapping it up. I know offine would work better but the ease of use here is too convenient for us. We constantly have jobs that are 100lb gloss text - some have a 100lb gloss cover and some are...

Konica 12000 & .dbp files dropping for no reason

There’s usually a max you can set on files saved, right? Unless you Archive I believe. I usually had it on 500 but realized the fiery got super sluggish when it’s full so I decreased it.

    Konica Minolta LU-208XL and SD-513

I was running the 7090…horrible machine (just the engine…nothing to do with the finishers though). Upgraded to the 12000. We are running the sd-513 with the slitter, creaser, face trim and square bind (sorry unsure of the model #’s). Does a decent job I would say. We produce some nice books but...

    Konica 12000

We run our calibrations through the IQ and it’s “okay” for the most part but we don’t do any highly complex color matching jobs. We also run the gamma and crest density profiles within the KM itself for each stock. Important to do those.

We run the morgana digifold pro xl and it’s been great. Comes with a heavy cost though.

    Young shop expanding services

Yes I agree with everyone. I have a designer which handles designs only with the exception of answering phone calls ( don’t get too many per day) and walk ins if we have any. A designer should not be a press operator and vise versa, it would be nice to know design if you’re the operator so...

    Konica Minolta C12000 supplies issues

I’m just curious to know…. You guys that have downtime for days or weeks at a time do you request any type of compensation? I’m not sure how each person handles this, but I’m sure there are some people that are more aggressive than others might be even worth opening up a thread about this if...

    Konica Minolta C12000 supplies issues

I actually don’t. I have a smaller canon c710 that I purchased for FMV. I run my NCR’s mostly and run the color rush jobs only if I need to when the KM is down.

    Konica Minolta C12000 supplies issues

Constantly having electrical boards going out. Second time this happened. We had to completely swap the fuser because they couldn’t figure out why the fusing belt kept walking out. I have copy quality issues during long runs. Seems like discoloration streaks along the long side of the sheet...

    GBC in-line cold laminator

GBC CL-401 Is the exact model I’m referring to. Apparently this was presented on the Konicas specifically at printing united in Vegas this year. Unfortunately I was not able to attend. Does anyone have any info on this piece? Not much online except for what the GBC website which isn’t very...

    Ricoh c9200 Print Quality Issue

Ya I would get new fuser parts or swap fuser. I had a similar issue on my canon that had higher saturation prints but it would start immediately. New fuser roller would fix it.

    Canon Lease return buyout/sale option

I ended up negotiating the FMV from 12k down to 3k net including taxes. Keeping the machine at that price was a no brainer I guess. Just an FYI to others in my same position
