I meant don't wait because of an impending revision to 11. You'll be able to run 10 for years to come and you won't miss 7 at all.

We held out on upgrading from 7 to 10 until early 2020. Much more secure and easier for our IT department to maintain. The transition has been pretty painless. Most people were familiar with Windows 10 for a while seeing that they had laptops and tablets at home already running 10. Go for it!

chriscozi no shade intended. I agree with you that at the very least they could've mentioned it in the release notes...this is Adobe we're talking about though... just upgrade, you'll love it ;-)

chriscozi-I just upgraded this morning and saw what you mentioned. If they click on Save a Copy all the old options are there. Also, if you click on the Info button it brings up a dialogue box with a More Info button. This takes you to an Adobe help page explaining all the new options...

To be clear, editing an ESKO normalized PDF is not our typical workflow-we were in a jam. I'm not sure why ESKO uses that format but even they are moving away from that clunky beast. Thanks for chiming in Dov.

In my experience, professional photographers prefer 16 bit but a conventional offset press can only utilize 8 bit-anything more is overkill, creating bloated files that are a pain to push around and manage. Not that the difference is indiscernible but to the average viewer it is not worth it...
