I am looking into the possibility of printing onto reflective sheeting using our Ricoh pro c7210x. I am looking for a material similar to 3M IJ5100 or Nikkalite 48000 sheeting. I don't even know if it is possible. Has anyone else looked into or tried this?

Another vote for Synaps. We print the 14mil, we don't have static issues before we print, but always have plenty of static after. We have a Ricoh 7210x. I don't run it on the synthetic setting however. I tell it that it is running glossy coated - works like a charm.

We've found that something as simple as rounding the corners helped them stay on. Once we started doing that, they didn't fly off. Also, check out Magnum Magnetics - Magnet Manufacturer USA we use a variety of their magnetic roll materials.

What about indoor stickers? Wouldn't toner prove to be durable enough as long as the elements aren't involved?

Is there a case to be made for toner-based stickers? We currently print 99% of our stickers on a wide format Epson inkjet using any number of adhesive vinyl substrates, then laminating. I am trying to convince my boss that we can print stickers on our Ricoh 7210x faster and without laminate...

It could be anything, but I would start with looking at.... 1. switch the outlet it is plugged into 2. check the power cord 3. check the breaker (if you can) 4. see if it has a loose wire that is catching on the moving input bed If not one of these, it is probably internal, maybe a loose wire.

If you have Command Workstation the "Image Enhance Visual Editor" does this exact thing, all within the fiery. I access it by right clicking on the file I want and selecting it from the menu.

We run Synaps as well. I also have a 7210x. I found that switching from the "Synthetic" setting to "Glossy Paper" helped us. It just wouldn't run until i did that.

You can also change your queue to the print queue rather than the hold, and it should go straight to printing from the hot folder.
