    Color Issue Konica 4080

It printed fine on my Canon. Sounds like your RIP isn't set up properly.

Xante EnPress transfer belt cleaning off flaw

My tech gave me his old toner vacuum. It's this model: Buy Omega Supreme Plus HEPA Vacuum - Atrix I'm not sure if it's a fire hazard, but toner is too fine for standard vacuum cleaners, and it'll just blow the toner out of the air filter and go everywhere. Not sure what to use on the transfer...

    Nexfinity vs Iridesse Vs Igen

No idea if it's in your price range, but you might want to look into sheetfed inkjet. https://csa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/csa/products/production/sheetfed-inkjet-presses-color I know Konica also has the KM1 AccurioJet KM-1 | Konica Minolta

KM 6100 and 3070 print too red

I would just leave the color called out as 282C and use Fiery Spot on to color match the swatch. Should only take a few minutes.

    Today's Excuses

If only someone had invented a way to store power for a later time. I guess that's just science fiction.

how much ventilation is really needed for digital presses?

NCR will make the copy room stink for hours after I run large batches. Certain cotton stocks will make the room smell sweet as well. If you're running shells you're also gonna have fumes from whatever they put on the press sheets as well. I'm not sure if it's harmful, but ventilation wouldn't be...

Cannon Imagepress C810 - What do you think???

We have a C750, and a 10000. I guess I'm spoiled, but I would rather be down for two days on our 10000 than run anything on the 750. Absolute garbage front/back registration, constant "adjusting", and it loves to jam on the simplest media. I hate running it. Unless the 810 has some massive...

    Spiral Punching synthetic paper

Oiling helps, but punching plastic usually causes flare out on the final sheet.

    Varioprint 110 Canon/Océ Drum

It's essentially the exact same tech though. No heated fusers and the same downsides. You're technically correct though.

    Varioprint 110 Canon/Océ Drum

If you use poor quality paper or run a lot of NCR it can significantly reduce the life of the OPC. We have a 6320 that uses the same tech, but you can manually clean it. Are you not on contract for parts?

What Equipment in Your Shop Do You Undervalue?

We have a thing called a PowerLift for our digital printers that is like a mini forklift for our stackers. You can just grab the whole stack and take it right to the bindery table so you never have to do heavy lifting or manually jog stacks after they print. It's one of my favorite little things...

KM C4080 toner flaking issue on solids on leading edge

gregbatch had a thread with a similar issue on a c1060. Maybe it will help. https://printplanet.com/threads/km-c1060-can-you-identify-this-probem.292205/

    Konica Minolta 12000 random spots

Developer should be easy since it's a small roller. If it repeats in the circumference of the developer roller it's the developer. That said, I think it's your transfer belt, not your developer

    I can't find 130# Gloss Cover 12x18

We have a local paper company that seems to have Titan 130#C in stock fairly regularly. I just checked and they don't cover your area, but maybe there's a local vendor that carries it.

Apologies if it's an unrealistic reply, but get a quote for a stacker. It's just 100x better for production printing.

Do you pass your discounts on to the client?

I think that's just savvy business. Contractor did 100% of the work, why should the client get the rebate? Unless the client is gonna go out and buy all the materials himself and do the research to find the right materials and find a deal that gives him a rebate I don't think he's entitled to...

XMF - Flatten PDF for Digital KM1 inkjet press

I'd take what your techs say with a grain of salt. They're not operators, they're mechanics. Not to say they're dumb, but they get trained on the mechanical side, but generally know nothing about the operating side. I'd ask a trainer or if they have a color specialist to get in touch with you...

    Pouch laminated menus lifting

I always just laminate text weight and let the laminate be what makes the piece thick. I always have issues with card stock not creating a good seal, plus it just seems superfluous.
