I started by asking my very experienced Kodak Field Engineer but he can't remember, so before starting my Trial and Error experimentation, I'll try a long-shot: Our Brisque ver.5 computer (nicknamed "Brisque Express" in its' time of glory - mid/end of the 1990's) is down, displaying errors...

Easiest way to fix broken/corrupt/weird PDFs?

In such rare cases I would suggest "ripping" in Photoshop to whatever resolution and color space that fits your digital press.

    Breaking up Accuset 1000

Once the imagesetter is unplugged from electrical supply, there is very little to be concerned about. I do remember a very heavy unit at the bottom of the imagesetter, probably just a concrete slab wrapped in metal jacket to look fancy...

Create color bar for SM102 ZP

Slightly off topic, but I think that for at least a decade, LEDs' were integrated into loupes and microscopes . Illuminated area of inspection is so much more revealing. Or perhaps it's just my aging eyesight....

    Proofing

In my experience from overseeing printing on Indigo Presses, there are instability issues with very light pastel colors (tints of 5% and less). BTW, I had to re-read several times until it struck me I should read "loupe" in order to understand "loop"...
