    Acrobat vs. Fonts

Illustrator is _NOT_ a PDF editor - DO NOT try to use it as one. As the name implies, a subsetted font is a font where only the glyphs that are used are present.

Adobe Reader could not open because it is either not a supported file type or because

There is no attachment, please upload the file somewhere and post a link.

    new Adobe Acrobat DC

Zoom :). That only applies to the Creative apps - not to Acrobat. (also, cmd-space is owned by Mac OS X for about a decade)

TrueType font does not render properly at 2400 dpi

You don't mention what version of Acrobat - so that would be helpful. But more important is if you could post the PDF itself. I am not familiar with that font nor do I know what software was used to embed the font in the PDF. The problem could lie in either place.

    Adobe Acorbat DC

Sorry, but what does this have to do with Adobe Acrobat? Or did you mean Acrobat Reader?

    Acrobat DC

Actually, we are following Apple designs in the way the Home screen works. (and whereever you got that idea about hiding the desktop is simply incorrect). When you open an application (without a document), an application is required to put up a window - this is called the "relaunch app, or...

    Acrobat DC

Preferences are a crutch - they are not a solution. Adding a preference for every possible option is the wrong solution to any problem. It's why we no longer do it - and in fact, our goal is to clean up preferences significantly in the coming releases. As far as the home screen - I agree that...

    Acrobat DC

Can you folks who don't like the new Home window tell us WHY, please? Do you not find the functionality (such as access to an unlimited number of recent files or your cloud storage) useful? Do you not like something about the design of the window? What?

    Plugin compatibility with Acrobat DC

On Windows, ALL plugins should work just fine (unless the developers did something stupid). On Mac, ALL existing plugins WILL NOT work AT ALL. You will need to update to a new version.

    new Adobe Acrobat DC

Thanks! I guess you only use a single computer then. But if you don't wish to use it - that's fine. Just click on the bubble and it will stop coming up. Please give us some more details here. What type of documents? What types of problems are you experiencing? Which modes/options are...

    new Adobe Acrobat DC

To each his own, of course, since lighter coolers are usually considered more soothing. However, the colors of the icons and the rest of the UI are also chosen to juxtapose that gray - so switch to some other gray doesnt' work as well. Also, you have to consider the high contract issues for...

This would be a GREAT use for the new Enhance Scans features of Acrobat DC.

PitStop Pro compatibility with Acrobat DC

Specific to the printing industry - the main item would be a completely rewritten, faster, more functional Preflight tool. However, you also get all the other major features such as the improved (and VERY customizable) UI, eSignatures (which are great for things like custom proof signoff or...

    new Adobe Acrobat DC

Please do post your feelings as you spend more time with it. In what specific area? Our experience is that it launches and opens PDFs much faster than any other PDF viewer, on any platform. It also scrolls, pans, zooms, etc. more reliably as well.

PitStop Pro compatibility with Acrobat DC

While it is true that the CC apps do this, Acrobat has NEVER supported multiple versions of the application installed at the same time. Yes, I am aware that customers do it - but we CANNOT and DO NOT support such a configuration. You are on your own - as evidenced by this expectation that we...

PitStop Pro compatibility with Acrobat DC

DO NOT put the plug-ins back inside the application package! This is NOT recommended behavior since Acrobat X and will cause problems such as the one you are seeing now. Acrobat X and later support an EXTERNAL plugin folder where they are safe across updates and upgrades. PLEASE use that...

Browsing Images in PDF File in a Folder-Like View

It wasn't clear, that's why I asked. I am aware of software that would let you browse them for the purposes of extraction (and then external processing), but nothing that will do it for the purposes of internal modification.

Browsing Images in PDF File in a Folder-Like View

Is the goal to act on them INSIDE the PDF - or to extract them from the PDF and then act on them? You know that feature has been in Adobe Acrobat for over a decade, right? No need for other tools.
