Pitstop causes Acrobat to load ssslllooooowwwwwlllllly....

Re: Pitstop causes Acrobat to load ssslllooooowwwwwlllllly.... Welcome to Pitstop is all I could say on that one. Also, if you are on OS X you can turn Pitstop off by doing a command-i on Acrobat, and clicking the plug ins disclosure triangle. Then look for Enfocus and switch off.

    ApogeeX 4

Re: ApogeeX 4 It would be nice I think if Agfa would talk to Impostrip about licensing their technology. Automatic imposition should not be difficult to achieve in this day in age, especially in a program like Apogee.

    PDF Transparency/Layers

Re: PDF Transparency/Layers The only problem with this approach is that unless text and images are layered properly in the open file, the PDF may have transparency issues.

    Custom PDF Settings...

Re: Custom PDF Settings... There is one thing that PDF will never compensate for and that is for people who don't know what they are doing. Custom PDF Settings...

Re: Custom PDF Settings... The trouble with sending PDF settings to customers is getting them to use them. Personally I prefer the open file and the PDF with every job.

AI CS 3 can't find image links

Re: AI CS 3 can't find image links First of all, don't use Illustrator for page layout, it's an illlustration program to put it bluntly. Page layout is what InDesign is for. Secondly, don't place images into Illustrator. Images are for Photoshop, then they are for placing into InDesign. Now...

    PDF Transparency/Layers

Re: PDF Transparency/Layers What you are seeing is either one of two issues in my experience. One, your RIP doesn't support Acrobat 5 or later. Two, your PDF has either been exported directly to Acrobat 4 or postscripted and distilled to Acrobat 5 or above. Postscripting and distilling is the...

    ApogeeX 4

Re: ApogeeX 4 I'd still like to know when ApogeeX is going to include a built in imposition editor that is capable of automatically generating impositions. Or maybe this has changed since I used 3.0.
