pdfs from Quark pdfs from Quark Hi Dauby, If I remember right - WAY back when... you had to save quark to ps as you didn't have the pdf option. I always use pdf now and skip the ps step without any problems. lynn

Hi Gregg, If the customers PDF files are hi-res and already trapped, we do not charge them prep costs at all unless it is to proof it. If they send us native files then we need to charge to set it up corrrectly (as they usually aren't), rip, trap and proof.

Thanks Thierry, I did finally figure it out and all is good - it was actually a much easier fix than I realized. I just turned off the background layer that I needed to change and saved the ct that way - then in illustrator I created the spot color background and sent it behind. Worked great...
