    Techkon vs X-Rite

Hi everyone - I have a customer that is looking for a spectrodensitometer and I've been trying to do some research on the differences between Techkon and X-Rite. I don't know much about Techkon as I only know X-Rite really. Any thoughts on the differences? Has anyone used Techkon devices...

    Konica Minolta c8000

Have you all checked out the new Xerox 770 or 8080? The 770 now competes closer to the KM C8000 and Ricoh C901. Just figured I'd throw that out there...

Has anyone purchased a used IGEN?

We have taken service over on used iGen's sold by 3rd party. Typically the cost to get an iGen up to spec and under service is between $20,000 - $75,000, or more, depending on how much work needs to be done on the system. Sometimes that cost is not worth the extra money customers save buying...

I have a customer that has a KM 1050 and a 1051. Their sales rep said it would print envelopes without any problems. I wanted to see if anyone has had success with the 105X series printing envelopes. I don't believe it is supported, but works with certain settings.

KM C6501 & C65hc. What are the difference?

65hc / 6501 -main difference is high-chroma toner, special CMS profiles for enhanced gamut, and price. Everything else is primarily the same Main competitors for the 6501/65hc would be the Canon 6000, IR9074, Ricoh C900 (though that competes more with Xerox 7002/8002), Xerox 700 / 260...

    Digital press for 350gsm?

Pre-owned iGen3's can be purchases / leased for close to the same price as a 8002. You might also want to wait for the 800/1000 color press being released in Q2. No info yet on specifics, more to come.

    Xerox Color 1000 Press

gcspec is correct. However Xerox will be conducting on-site and webex's to non-disclose customers/prospects interested in the 800/1000. We've been told to refer to the Fuji Xerox site for information and all additional info will be released mid to late March. Thanks for your interest though!

    Xerox Color 1000 Press

I wonder if colors 5 and 6 can be used for spot UV.... That'd be nice. I'm an iGen Program Manager and I don't have details on this yet. As soon as I do I'll share with everyone.

Signing a Deal Today on KM6501

Congrats. Great piece of equipment. I sold the 6500 for 4 years before getting a job on the iGen team at Xerox. Sold the crap out of the 6500 though!!!! Best of luck with it. Call me up when you need an iGen ;)

    Xerox Color 1000 Press

We'll see if it just adds to the iGen line, replaces the 7002/8002, or merges the two products together. I wonder is the 1000 will need the same space / HVAC / electrical requirements as the iGen or the 8002...... makes a difference as you all know. The thing I love the most is up to 6...
