Fusion Pro - Color Shift PPML vs PDF Output

I've seen it also, I noticed it on a cmyk build of a spot color background. I guess that might partly explain the transparency warning fusion pro generates sometimes. Also be on the lookout for dropped images, we've had several jobs that would drop various elements only on say one or two of the...

Which design program do you prefer if you had to chose between these two, and why?

I would think you'd want the entire Adobe CS, photoshop for images, illustrator for vector graphics and indesign to put it all together. I haven't seen Corel in probalby 15 yrs so I can't really comment on that.

    Editing Proportional Lining fonts_PITSTOP 11

This is probably a longshot but, is there any way to edit proportional lined fonts in Pitstop without losing the proportional attribute? Numbers in an Archer font specifically. Thanks!

Offset varnishing a digital job, among other questions...

It's not ignorance as much as the lack of control over our environment, especially at the operator level. Most of us are fully aware that if we could perfectly control our humidity levels static would not be and isssue, but since I'm not an expert I probably shouldn't have posted my opinion.

Offset varnishing a digital job, among other questions...

    1. If the c5100s use oil in the fuser i doubt it would work to varnish it offset, if it is oiless with the exception of feeding issues it might work. 2. Fusion pro is and excellent product IMO, reasonable learning curve and very capable. 3. Static - not much you can do that I'm aware of, it's...

KM Bizhub C8000 Fiery processing speed?

Makes sense, we just switched from a Nexpress to this KM. The nexpress would grind through the fusion pro pdfs much quicker so we never bothered with ppml. I have the files re-composing to ppml now, thanks for your help!

KM Bizhub C8000 Fiery processing speed?

Printing a variable data job processed and imposed with Fusion Pro (because bleed won't print correctly using Fierys imposer, separate issue). It is only printing at about 8ppm, the files are broken into 1 thousands and only 5.3mb each. The machine will not print continuously and is constantly...

Pitstop action to create a two page document

Do you mean a two page document or a one page document? One page you can add as background and have both pdfs show on a single page, for a two page you can make your pdfs equal number of pages and create an automator app (if your on a mac) to shuffle the two pdfs together.

    Konica Minolta C8000 bent corners

Our fairly new KM c8000 bends corners of the sheet. It doesn't seem to matter what paper or whether or not it is duplex or single sided, we are told of course that it's the paper/humidity/paper curl ect. but what is strange it does it in cycles regardless of those variables. It might not do it...

    Question on screen angle

The Print Guide: Choosing the right screen angle for over-printing spot colors What percentage is the screen? If it is only touching in trapped areas I wouldn't think you'd have to worry about moire, if it is overprinting can it be reversed out?

Is it Worth To Buy C8000 Or Buy the C70Hc Or C6000

If you decide to go with the c8000 and can wait a little while they are supposed to be coming out with a new version this fall that is 100 ppm vs the current 80 ppm.

Pitstop CMYK mapped to closest Pantone color

Pitstop CMYK mapped to closest Pantone color

I realize this is the reverse of what most people would want, but is there a way to map a cmyk color to it's closest match in a Pantone spot color? I know i can look at percentages or lab values and figure it out myself and map it to spot color I've come up with, but is there anything already in...

    What is "COSL - PANTONE"?

Thanks, I was just using 5555m for an example, they are naming all their pms colors that way, I thought maybe it was something new but more likely it's just something the designer is adding to to color name, no idea why, thanks again!

What is "COSL - PANTONE"?, I'm getting jobs with pantone colors named in the following way: COSL - PANTONE 5555 M Any ideas what this is, what book these are from or what the COSL stands for? Maybe this is a stupid question but it's new to me....:p
